With a long overhang?I'm honestly amazed Mercedes hasn't made a G Pick-up. It would sell absolutely gangbusters in the US.

Interestingly that’s not even the AMG.
Normal Production, otherwise the prototypes would be AMGs.Carscoop has stated that the G Cabrio is “a “special edition.” This implies production will be limited and pricing will be astronomical.”
I thought that it would be a normal production car?
I guess it’s the spiritual successor of the S convertible. If it were a special edition, there would be no point in extensive testing and no need for lengthy launch preparations. This will be a car with a long lifespan.
They can sell a really bare bones model and sales would pop again. It still looks good and is more in touch with its roots. My favorite

I fully agree. It’s Mercedes’ biggest star right now and the madness at the dealerships starts all over again when the Cabriolet appears.

The biggest step came 2018/2019 with the new model, the Mopf in 2024 improved things further with the optional SL Suspension Technology.
But my dealer told me the standard suspension is still the same like the pre Mopf, the AMG Active suspension is as Harry said still an option.
