EQS (V297) [Official] Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Production: May 2021- Model years: 2022–
A three-box shaped EQS probably would not work as the rear seat space and boot space would be too compromised.

I really like the front
The whole car actually

Horrible looking from the side, and pretty decent from others like the one below posted be Sonder
The front is tragic from all angles. Looks like a V class front stuck on a sedan.

Still absolutely amazing they managed to make it look worse with that tragic two-tone paint job on a press release :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You have all the freedom in the world, new model, new platform, new drive tech, no need for a big grill, no big radiators... and what do you come up with --- this fugly face with a fake grill and 2 fake vents! Shame.

I honestly thought your climax would be the ridiculous star pattern on the fake grille! So with that added, your quote seems complete.

The two tone looks like the car's been in an accident and got repaired on a budget. Otherwise it looks as expected, rather bland and down market.

The car is insanely heavy - 2585kg - I wonder if that has something to do with the pitiful top speed of only 210km/h (tires can't handle more when carrying that much weight). Not a car for Autobahn cruising. The performance is mediocre considering the price and segment. Even the planned 750hp AMG version won't come close to the planned Tesla Model S models. It doesn't really need to, but nevertheless it's not a fantastic look for Mercedes. The range is clearly exaggerated, but I am curious what the real world numbers turn out to be.

Not even close! The people who said it was a polarizing design and may take time getting use to, I suggest you should check again between the two. The upper one definitely is polarizing, no doubt on that. The bottom one...are we being real? Of course there are other aspects of the car (tech and interior), but from a design standpoint...eww!

OMFG is all I have to say. Apart from the A/B class kind of cars which are not even real Benzes, this has got to be the worst looking product they ever produced. Makes the R class look nice. The lower production version honest to God looks like a cheap Chinese clone.

When I think about electric cars I think about unlimited layout options and huge opportunities for designers to make a beautiful car. When Mercedes makes an electric car it makes a "front engine look" layout with the front overhang almost as long as AUDI's A8 which should accommodate the W12 engine in it! WHY???

They don't have an engine in the front! So the front is safe for pedestrians. Why the bonnet is so high??? I was hoping to see something like this!

What an ugly car...

The overall design is okay but those f#cking air vents in the front? It’s fake and ugly. Why Mercedes why? As Sunny said, it shows lack of creativity and sign of a company that’s is still stuck in its past! A fantastic chance ruined. I think Gordon did a great job with W222 and few other cars but he completely lost his plot with this one.

I may be the only one who thought the concept looked like a two-dimensional, side-profile drawing I did on paper as a kid. Bland, with all the focus in the silly bits, like a starlit grille or over-the-top branding with the mercedes stars for the rear lights. I think the finished product is fine but I dislike the two-tone option - to me, it makes it look too busy. I would have preferred more of a 3-box design, but maybe they couldn't have achieved the same .cd. I also would have preferred an opening hood so there wasn't an access door on the driver's fender for the windshield washer fluid refill.
