I usually enjoy being stroked.

Interesting, because I thought the exact opposite. Mine even had the high-end (in terms of EQS) interior. I guess all is subjective…The one I sat in was of extremely high quality as you expect in an S-Klasse.
I've spent over 100 mi in various EQS and looked over much of the interior. I haven't seen the arm rest issue before or the poorly fit fabric, but I have pressed on various body panels and made some of them creak much like the current E-class. I can tell they were trying to hide where they used cheap fasteners because I don't hear these creaking noises unless I jab the panels in a manner no would normally do.
As for the rest of what he wrote, I have some comments:
-The author writes as if he just wants a sportier drive. Perhaps he should try the AMG version, as I think the standard EQS is perfectly tuned for its mission except for the brakes. I didn't love them either. And the only sensation of connection I got from the last Rolls-Royce I drove was massive body roll.
-The tuning of the sound is connected to whether you're slowing down or maintaining/gaining, not directly connected to the pedal.
-Agree about back seats
-Totally disagree about the UI/UX. The Hyperscreen UI is better but once acquainted, MBUX is quite easy to use. It does have a steep learning curve though. Most customers will need training from the dealer I think.
The rear seats are definately not in line with what a S class should be and i am disappointed with this for a Mercedes trying to be the new S class EV ( The I7 will be benifift big time on this )
I reckon in Germany it will be seen as an EQS alternative as well. Would even go that far and say it will be more popular than EQS in terms of sales. It’s a conservative and aesthetic sensitive segment after all.I'll venture a prediction that the i7 is going to be a successful segment contender for BMW. Perhaps but not necessarily versus the EQS, but moreso versus the ICE G70/71s'.

It will be very interesting to see how German luxury segment shoppers will react to the i7. Order flow for the EQS is reportedly good. However, the major success of Porsches' Taycan and increasing orders for the Audi eTron GT indicate that German low ride height vehicle luxury segment customers are now flocking towards electric automobiles in general-and BMW is not yet represented. As the i7 will be directly aimed at the EQS, the contest should be fascinating. Lucids' arrival in Germany will also be closely followed. Audis' response is a bit further down the road.
Yes these electric cars are on the UP in Europe and thats why MB needs to wake up fast ...
I can not see the EQS lasting until 2028 in the market.
Do you guys think that cars now will not last the 6 or 7 year cylce as worh electeic cars and the technology now like infomat systems i think cars life spans will shorten saying that the Tesla has been same for so long
Whats the opinions on here...
Agreed on your estimate, EQS not lasting for more than six years. My general impression is, seeing how especially BEV are deemed to technically age quickly, the way most interiors are executed (screen overkill and over all quality), the rather ‘simple‘ technology of BEV in general, the still growing lease market, that I perceive them more and more as disposibles.Yes these electric cars are on the UP in Europe and thats why MB needs to wake up fast ...

The writer on Watchprosite is a bonafide, potential buyer who has some very interesting cars in his garage. One of them being an AMG (G if I’m not mistaking). Not out to find where he can fault the car. This is the way potential buyers talk about cars, they are honest and say out loud what they think.
That’s indeed different from all the videos out there from influencers and many (not all) of the so called car journalists who are afraid to be critical: the next invitation to an event could be in danger…
Who said these issues are exclusive to Benz? If you are willing to except this deteriorating quality, fine with me. Keep on buying (oh I forgot, you don’t buy anything, your daddy is) Benz’s. MB shareholders will thank you.He drove a vehicle with some trim issues that should have been rectified by the dealership before giving it out for test drives.
Our 8 series driver door handle creaked for 2 years despite me telling the dealership every time it went in it needed adjusting. This is one of the many quality gripes I mentioned in my review thread.
I drove 2 Taycan test vehicles both with the same rattle from the B pillar. Again the sales guys should have had the service department on to this straight away. I even mentioned it to the salesman.
These sorts of issues are not exclusive to MB at this end of the market and a good dealership will have everything sorted out quick smart.
If you wants a fault free vehicle from the factory...buy a Lexus.
