I have changed my car rear tires, originally they were 275/30/R20 run on flat, I increased the profile size to 275/35/R20 Nito.

Lucky you. The transfer case would freak out and go into overdrive if I increased the size of the wheels.

Has your turning at maximum lock been affected? Will you choose 19 inch alloys next time you order a car of the same class?

Few interesting things I've noticed:

1. E200 is now with 1.5l M264 with same hp as 2.0l M274 (not sure about EQ boost though)
2. For E200d engine is not shown. I know current E200d is with 2.0l OM654 with 150hp and I hope they don't use Renault engine.
3. E300e EQ Power will have in my opinion 184hp+122hp just like E300de EQ power has 194hp+122hp.

That's an interesting point, my car is actually 4matic, I have though about it, the car is supplied with different tire sizes, if you calculate the difference in the speed between front and back original tires, it will be 469 Rev/km and 473 Rev/km.

With my current setup, it will be 469 Rev/km vs 455 Rev/km, it now has more deviation in speed between front and back, but it is below 3%, actually I'm not sure about how much load I'm introducing to the differential, but so far I don't see any handling or controlling issue.

I would like to hear your opinion guys.

That's an interesting point, my car is actually 4matic, I have though about it, the car is supplied with different tire sizes, if you calculate the difference in the speed between front and back original tires, it will be 469 Rev/km and 473 Rev/km.

If your car is 4matic then you need to consult Mercedes about the sensitivity of 4matic. Mixed tyre brands, studded tyres or wrong wheel size could confuse the transfer case and inevitably break it.

Been reading in MB forums, and I found that this discussion was opened many times.

The question was raised because all AMG packages uses different tire/wheel sizes, the circumference will be different although cars are 4matic (stock from MB), the optimum would be using the same size, but 4Matic will adapt if front and back wheels are rotating with different speeds, if the deviation is big then the system will act as if there is slip, thus the attraction system will act abnormally. The question is how far can you go with the deviation ?

I'm more relaxed because I don't feel any attraction control or stability issues, but I might be loading the 4matic system too much ?

Thought I will post this here as well. I didn't think we can get these wheels in Australia, must be a special order from the dealer. In fact I haven't seen any real world photos of the car with these wheels. What do you guys think?

Overall wheel diameter was not exactly the same with stock tires, but much closer than now, regardless I will go with increasing the front tire diameter to match the rear, but not very soon, hope nothing happenes to the car, so far I dont feel any change.

Fuel consumption in highways when cruising at 120 km/hr gives me approximatly 7,8 liter/100km, which I think is great considering v6 333 Hp engine, most likely due to the excellent 9G gearbox. In the city it can go up to average of 12 liter/100km with AC on.

By the way @Monster I dont think that brakes will interfere with 4Matic system, that was the old system, currently its a set of gears with defferetnals and clutches which adjusts the load distribution by oil pressure.

Nope, nothing so far, 40,000 km and the car feels rock solid.

Very small electrical issues related to windows auto funcion, sometimes the window does not go all the way up automatically, it looks like a glitch or something but most of the time auto works, will check with the dealer at my 45,000 service.

That is nice, good to know. The auto window issue seems to be a common thing for early built cars.

Yes it does on early built mine has it...I know how to reset it the dealer showed me so I do it and then it's fine.I had to reset it once.

It has been a warm day. Didn't bother going to the car wash as the queue was probably long. I gave the grass the first cut of the year instead.

I have only seen one e-class with a similar spec and it looked gorgeous. Red is a colour that rarely suit large sedans but this shade works wonders on the e-class.
