E-Class (W213/C238/A238) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213

The Mercedes-Benz W213 is the fifth generation of the E-Class range. It succeeded the W212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models (C238/A238) share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. Production: February 2016–2023. Model years: 2017–2023.
Oct 2016 built, and they arrived in Australia in Dec 2016. So it has been sitting around for 6 months. Despite the significant growth in sales in Mercedes in Australia, the majority of the growth is from the lower end models, sales for cars over $100k has not change too much, especially for non AMG models. The C class sedan and wagons still outsells the E class by 5 to 6 times per month.

So are you keen on this car will it be sold as a registered 2017 or 2016...How is the specs on this particular car and colour.

The car is brand new unregistered, so it will be registered in 2017 but as a 2016 built MY 17 car. The warranty starts on the day of purchase.

The car is in silver, (other choices are in diamond metallic white or grey), AMG line, with 20inch wheels, air suspension and multibeam LED. Interior includes black wood trim, sports seats with black napper leather, full command, Burmester sound system, panoramic roof. All active driver assist systems.

Wow if it's a good deal worth going for hey

At the moment, the head says E 350d..the heart says E 400. The E 400 has to be custom ordered with a 5 month waiting period.

The 350d in dad's S is a fabulous engine if relaxed yet effortless progress is your thing. Sporty it ain't. Not sure if the new E350d uses the same engine mounts as the S, but the difference in refinement between our S and W212 E350d is night and day.

Definitely. Over 10 years a $15K discount will mean less than having the car exactly how you wanted it from the get go.
The latest number given by the dealers are showing a $30k price difference between the E 350d and the E 400, even though there is only a $5k price difference in the official rrp. The pricing on he E 350d is very attractive, that is why we are seriously considering that now.

sounds very good whats the net price ?

@Wolfgang, is there any other MY 18 update to the E class besides minor updates and changes to the trim level? When will the car receive the new style steering wheel and and the touch pad?

^ There's no info about a new style steering wheel or touch pad, Monster, so it may take a while. Some details of the latest minor update are listed below. The DrivePilot will be renamed to Active Assist, but without other changes. :)

Just checked with my dealer today, no information on MY 18 cars, apparently the production month for MY 18 cars are pushed back to August? The wood trim option for the lower central dashboard is still not available on the sedan as well. Going to pull the trigger really soon I think.

Anyway, saw the pair of E class in the showroom today, parked next to each other, one in grey, the other in silver. I guess that settles the choice of color, silver it is.

@Monster, are you taking the 20" rims or the 19"?
At the moment, the dealer says it is not possible for them to switch to the 19'' wheels, not even if it is a custom order from the factory. Gone are the days when Australian customers can pick and choose the exact options they want for the car. These days 99% of the cars being ordered by customer or the dealer look exactly the same. The only way to get the 19'' wheels is to switch from another customer who has the 19'' wheels and want to upgrade to the 20''.

Mate what size rims are those and did you get my PM...
Hey mate, yes I received your PM, thank you, I will reply in more detail tonight. Also those rims are 20'' ones.
