The Mercedes-Benz W213 is the fifth generation of the E-Class range. Body styles: sedan/saloon (W213), wagon/estate (S213), long wheelbase (V213), coupé (C238), cabriolet (A238). Production: 2016–2023. Predecessor: W212 E-Class. Successor: W214 E-Class, C236/A236 CLE.
The Long version for China and maybe India. No Maybach version is planned, though. :)

Notice that the LED can be operated only one strip from the above spy shots? I am not a fan of double strip LED in E-Class.
 
The rear bumper is a huge let down to me, from spy photo. C63 rear bumper is more sporty with airflow outlet.
 
The first prototype photos w213 body was in September 2014 ( around the same time of Panamera MK2, that has not presented yet), introduced in January 2016. Typically, a cycle lasts 2 years (w222 2,5 years). Mercedes decided to return to the times of the first A-class and save money on development???(n)

What do you mean? Do you mean the time that was needed to develop the W213?
 
Yes,they obviously cut the development time!
For example BMW g30 first mule caught in July 2013(!!!!), a prototype in December 2014, and they present the car in November 2016

No, that is wrong. The development time of the W213 was four years, as long as the time that was needed for the W222.
 
How in the world does anyone here know what the development time is for the E-Class or any other car without being an employee? Just going by when you see the first cars on the road doesn't mean the development time started then.
