E-Class (W213) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213

The W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, sold from 2016 as a 2017 model. It succeeded the W212/S212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63S versions of the W213 have been available as well from 2016 (as a 2017 model), and these are the only versions with V8 engines.

As it seems, if you go with designo interior, you won't get the sport steering wheel with AMG exterior.

Here in the EU, the W213 will command a large number of customers who may have initially considered a SWB W222 as their next purchase. In fact, the latter is becoming increasingly superfluous. Especially in view of the upcoming CLS (or will that be "CLE" ?) series III cars.

Those who need not count their pennies (or Euro cents), can always opt for a C217.

The lower part of the dashboard is a finger print magnet, it does look like shiny plastic to me, much like the basic dashboard trim on the C-class. Also the vast expanse of fake plastic vents on the front bumper is not fitting for the E-class.

Wow. I like it. As always with MB, it is never love at the first sight, but the more I look at the pics - especially the real life impressions - the more I am convinced, that this masterpiece will replace my S212 in 2017; hopefuly with an I6, as the figures look very promising.

I might be the only one liking the Sport variant more than the rest. The car looks great!

No, both variants look good, and as for know, I would also prefer the sports grill with the AMG trim; though this might change, when I see both in person.

The interior looks stunning in that white brown combo as well as the black AMG, love the quilted leather.

1. Why have they not bothered to lower the airmatic suspension to the sports setting on the AMG equipped variant in the video and when rolled out onto stage. A Very stupid oversight.
2. Looks like MB finally has a purer metallic white than diamond white. YAY!
3. If the phone box is on the transmission tunnel afore of the command dial, where have the cup holders gone? This is potentially a MAJOR issue for many markets. It bothers me a lot that's for sure. Where does my flat white go?
4. The sports bumper with the traditional grill looks so much better than the sports bumper with the sports grill.
5. The weight savings are simply not enough. I fear the 5 series will hit the E majorly on this front, especially with the flow on impact weight savings will have on performance, fuel consumption, handling and even ride.
6. Non of the alloy wheel designs shown pull on my heart strings.
7. The lack of wood trim availability on the transmissions tunnel trim plate is a big drawback. The shiny black finish will be a maintenance nightmare...dust, fingerprints, micro scratches etc.

Ah im sadly not convinced

i cant deal with those headlights, or actually the graphics. they give the car a soft and kind appearence. i like my benzes to be imposing, this is very much the exact opposite.. it looks gentle.

but i must say that from some angles it looks pretty mean, i think this is one of those must see irl cases.

everything else is super, but the graphics of the headlights are irking the f out of me.. and spoiling the whole party.

I dont understand why they didn't put that eye-looking glas Lens over the outer part of the lightning system of the Headlights, like they did in the S and C-Class. Would make it look way more beautiful
