E-Class W213 [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213

The W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, sold from 2016 as a 2017 model. It succeeded the W212/S212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63S versions of the W213 have been available as well from 2016 (as a 2017 model), and these are the only versions with V8 engines.
Just completed my 30,000 Km service, they fixed the top dashboard annoying sound, seems to be a very easy fix.

Overall, the car is holding very well, no noise or squeaks for the interior or exterior of the car and the quietness of the ride is just splendid, the only comment I have (which I shared before) is the 3D Burmester system little noise, I don't know what to call it but the noise appears on some songs when the volume is high, not a big issue since the sound quality and amplitude is so satisfying, but would have hoped for a ''Bose'' like experience with canceling the music imperfections.

The more I drive the car the more I enjoy the V6 engine with 9G gearbox combo, pushing on the throttle is always smooth, the car hits 200 km/hr so easily and smoothly while it can reach 255 km/hr while feeling you are in control of the car with its nice steering. the 4matic so far appears to be handful on sharp turns and the car never slips and feels always in control, while the suspension is considered medium stiffness, you do feel of a little boat like experience when turning suddenly but soon the dampening stabilizes the car. If I had the choice I wouldn't tick the 4matic option since we don't have snow or heavy rains in Saudi Arabia, but driving the car with 4matic I never felt that it is hindering the car, the car is still fun to drive and you feel the torque mostly on the back wheels.

I guess that's it for now, will update you guys soon with more details :)

Do you know how they fixed it?
As per the workshop engineer, they re-assembled the top speaker cover on the dashboard and installed a gasket like underneath it, the issue was that the speaker plastic cover is touching the edge of the front ventelation plastic, if you see the front dashboard speakers you may get the idea, also I have seen the fix in other MB forum.

I think this was the issue and the fix. Quite and oversight by MB, surprised it wasn't picked up during testing.

Sweet ride.

Those red bits probably add at least 25hp. The AMG badge another 50hp.

If he/she replaced the E200 badge with an E63 badge it would be a 600+ hp monster.

Damn!! that's the ugliest E class I have seen so far, moreover I'm staring to think that the multi led beams option is a must, it looks sooo much better IRL than the standard ones.
It is actually not possible to order the multi LED beams headlight with the E 200 here in Australia. Mercedes Australia made it an exclusive standard equipment for models from the E 300 and above.

That's disappointing, despite its nice shape and graphics IRL, its hell of a pleasure to see its dynamics all the time, specially when you start the car with its animations, our local dealer is not as good when it comes to car maintenance or services, but if you have the cash they will provide what ever option you want, we also have all types of e class engines including E200/300/400/43/63/63s, no diesel thought.

Was going through the press release material again, and it seems like the E class doesn't use aluminium for the door panels, unlike the C and the S class. I wonder why that is the case. This also explains why the doors on the E class felt heavier than the C class (besides the bigger dimensions).

The w212 doors still feel much heavier than w213.

Hi all, I have received my W213 E200 for almost two months now but only clock less than 1,500 km on it. I have only driven it in Comfort mode and never gone past 3,000 rev for now.

So far, I have noticed that regardless of the gear that I am in, the vehicle will have a braking effect when I released the gas pedal. It is more noticeable when I am in lower gear. Does anyone else have the same experience? Or is this a norm?

don't quote me on this....but I think I read somewhere, when you aren't accelerating, it shuts off the engine or does something eco along these lines...this could be it
New Bosch system shuts off coasting cars' engines
this might explain it? Try it in sport mode and see if it does the same...
