E-Class (W213/C238/A238) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 Facelift

The Mercedes-Benz W213 is the fifth generation of the E-Class range. Body styles: sedan/saloon (W213), wagon/estate (S213), long wheelbase (V213), coupé (C238), cabriolet (A238). Production: 2016–2023. Predecessor: W212 E-Class. Successor: W214 E-Class, C236/A236 CLE.
If a german car needs sport package and must be had in dark colors to look good as you state, then there is a problem.

I dont disagree. All I'm saying is that a white or mojave silver non-AMG W213F is going to be far less exciting looking than, say, an E53 in graphite grey.

Without the AMG touch, the lesser appearance packages, while decent in their own respect, make the car look generic, and for an MB,thats the wrong place to be.

So, no, you are not wrong.

Been wondering and actually quite annoyed with that inconsistency. They talk about how the GLE is...
Absolutely right, especially regarding the rear. Several years ago, I was at a designclinic of the now current CLS C257. I told the interviewers the rear somehow reminded me of Seat. Apparently MB didn’t take notice of my remarks.

I think most of what u guys have raised is consistent with what some u raised in the past that non-AMG models tend to blend and less interesting. I think that has been with Mercedes for a while now but one of the models that shows this very well is the w213 pre facelift. The non-AMGs are far less desirable compared to amg models and in my view this has a lot to do with the design language Mercedes adopted. Unfortunately I hate doing comparisons with BMW but it is a fact at least from my perspective that non-M BMWs look far desirable when compared with Mercedes. But I also think that is influenced mainly by the contrasting design philosophies of these german manufacturers. Audi also looks great in normal for form.

Strangely I find the A class sedan rear beautiful but as mentioned by other people the E class somehow has lost its identity and with this facelift that has moved to another level.

Anyway my point is that the Gorden Wegener design philosophy of less lines or take a line off, I believe has its limitations and I think the model that shows this limitation clearly is the E class. In my view this is most effective on high-end models.

Well that design philosophy is about to change... There will be more lines on the S, but ESPECIALLY the C...

It is terrifying the new S-Class is going to look similar to that classic grille E-Class...

It looks so plain and boring, idk maybe because of the headlights graphics or smaller grille, the pre FL looks muuchh better IMO. The sport grille looks Ok but the classic grille for sure looks wayy worse than before. They really ruined the classic grille with this facelift IMO.

It looks better in these pics, i think maybe because of the headlight graphics that makes the headlights looks sharper & not bug eyed.

I created a statement showing the differences in the available silver colors for the Mercedes E FL. ;)

Three grille designs? To be honest though, the classic and base ‘sport’ grilles are interchangeable.

I created a statement showing the differences in the available silver colors for the Mercedes...
The iridium silver and high tech silver is almost the same, if not the same. Need to see the colors on the cars and placed side by side to be able to tell the difference.

@Monster They are similar but the iridium is brighter. Because they are side by side they seem the same. Unfortunately, this is how the human eye works :(
If you have one visible color and change it then you will see the visible difference.

I tried to show the difference;)
Differences between iridium and high-tech.

Does the gif work?

The FL E-class looks best with the AMG kit and great as a E53 and E63.
