The picture doesn't show. I think JesMB rehost their pics as soon as they notice they are hotlinked.

This is probably the picture you were trying to post? ;)

Yep!!, thanks!!.

I´ve gone to the MB official site in germany and configured the avantgard E on a light colour (silver to see the changes better). I have to say I prefer the other LEDs on the bumper, these ones look more like chrome stripes, and I don´t like them.

Is this for real? Away with the ugly boomerang LEDs already???

Would be great!! This looks much better.

It depends on the package the car wears, if it is the Avantgarde one, the boomerangs doesn´t look bad, but the Elegance front bumper is just so ugly that anything on it would suck.

Why did they change the front bumper so early in the life circle? The car is only a year on the market!

I think many people thought that it looked too cheap, with the hockey stick LEDs. This looks much more elegant and integrated.

Wow! They already changed the 212's bumper? That must be the quickest exterior change I've seen from M-B. Looks MUCH better than that tacky flawed Hockey-Stick look. See, complaints do get action.

I wonder if the U.S. market will get this change also?

M

Ah, didn't think about that. Maybe not, as M-B always seems to screw the U.S from having the cool stuff.

Anyone know of any other changes occurring with the '11 212? M-B's known to do some small, sometimes hidden refinements to the interiors and sometimes exteriors of their cars after the first MY (C-Class got different gauges, more needed sound dampening, etc.).

I liked the hockey pucks lol.

Anyhow, it didn't make sense that the NEW E got that and the rest of the line up got the linear arrangement. This makes the range consistent, which I like.

MB is actually changing strategy it seems and offering continual product improvment every year rather than just waiting for the FL. A good strategy I think for resale and for keeping the car fresh.

Noticed they have not changed them if you get the AMG Pack! I have ordered an E350D with the AMG pack will be a late May build fingers crossed they change them. It is the only item I do not like. The Hockey-Stick LED lights

The AMG pack will continue to use the hockey stick LEDs, so your E350 will have them.

Absolutely fantastic looking. Much better then before - sad that the E with AMG package will not get these lights…

That's indeed too bad, would look great with an AMG bumper. Simply ixnaying those hockey sticks or double fogs, and using that more elegant integration makes the car look like a more expensive model. I.e, those hockey sticks look like something that should be rigged for a cheap car.
