Dont think their was anything wrong i think this is just to bring it in line with rest off the family.I like different models to have some differences but i guess Mercedes wants to go down the boring BMW and Audi road..

I love that car since day one and now i love it even more, the Avantgarde E is pure sex on wheels.

According to the report on the 2011 W212, the E250 CDI will get the 7-speeder.

Does anybody know if the E250 CGI will get the same upgrade as well? I don't want to buy the 5-speed model and then find out a few months later that the 7-speed gearbox is already out...

Should be, since the C250 CGI will get the 7G gearbox next year. I am wondering why MB is taking their time to update the gearbox. The 7G gearbox has been out for 6 years already.

Used to be such a good website (despite not speaking German). Shame they don't keep the charts etc. up to date anymore.

In real photos looks much better the new LED lights for Elegance:)

Saw a "E" with the new LEDs on the autobahn two days ago! It looks absolutely stunning…much better integrated and elegant. Definitely a fantastic update. :usa7uh:

Yeah those do look stunning..Mind you i for one like the hockey stick ones when you see them on at nite but i guess thses look perfectly intergrated..I think they should have this standard on all the new E class not an option the round and double fogs should go...

From what JESMB is saying, for September 2010 the E350 CDI gets the revised diesel V6. The new V6 and turbo V8 will go in by January 2011.

Yep. AutoBild already did a short test drive with the new 265 hp V6 diesel installed in a 350 CDI! :usa7uh:

edit: What really is interesting: The current 350 CDI will replace the 300 CDI with 204 hp (350 CDI with 231 hp is named 300 CDI then). The 265 hp is stated with 6.0 l / 100 km the 231 version with 6.8 l / 100 km.

Perfect then, since Audi is comming with a 300 hp 3.0 TDI in the new A7 and A6, so, time for a big diesel engine from MB.
