Congrats to Winward, commiserations to all Dutch people.

Aston Martin absolutely robbed there at the end.

BMW M3 Touring better than a Formula 1 champion in an AMG, who'd have thought.

edit: Good to seem Maxime Martin on the top step finally.

The Verstappen race car took to the track for the final lap in celebration.

MAD max already said he’s coming back next year.

Le Mans and the Nürburgring have one ting in Common, you can’t win them, they let you win instead.

And another thing, next year, Mercedes AMG arrives with the Tracksport.

Congratulations to AMG what a proper send off, of the AMG GT.

Even in the closing stages, Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL remained flawless despite changeable weather conditions and a few incidents, crossing the finish line in commanding fashion after 24 hours and 5 minutes 27 seconds, having completed 156 laps.

In total, the two Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams led for 129 laps.

With four hours to go, Lucas Auer (AUT), Jules Gounon (AND), Daniel Juncadella (ESP), and Max Verstappen (NED) were initially forced to retire the #3 car from Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing due to a faulty driveshaft. The car rejoined the race for the final lap and was classified in 37th place.

He was in 10th place and easily climbed to 1st. When he handed the car over to his teammate, he was 40 seconds ahead of the Mercedes behind him. They were two pit stop times ahead of the Touring M3. It's a real shame.

He proved that he’s indeed GOAT, it’s now your turn Lewis and Fernando.

We need more F1 drivers in Endurance racing.

Fernando showed promising speed at Le Mans (and won it without much competition tbh) , but the Nurburgring is still way more challenging.

Congratulations to AMG what a proper send off, of the AMG GT.

It's a nice book end, the the AMG GT won on it's debut at the ring and this last one (assuming it will be the last, for a factory effort at least), albeit a decade apart.

it’s now your turn Lewis and Fernando.

Fernando doesn't really have anything to prove. F1, Indycar, Daytona, Le Mans, Dakar - granted only limited success, but as we saw with Max, these things aren't just about talent. Lewis is more likely to have popular song on Spotify and a good opening at Paris Fashion week... just my two cents.

But now the haters are going to say he pushed too hard and killed the car, twice.

The haters will be Formula 1 fans, and they talk bollocks most of the time anyway...
