Global bottleneck in semiconductors
For the new C-Class of the 206 series , the delivery times as a sedan are already in the 4th quarter of 2021, the T-model will be available from the 3rd quarter of 2021 thanks to production in the Bremen plant. The C Coupé and the Cabriolet (C / A 205) are also in the third quarter.

i am really looking forward to the new hybrid I4 AMG. very interesting. for my taste the turbo V8 does not even sound good. i prefer the sound of its I6 and V6 rivals, so for me hybrid I4 loses nothing against turbo V8 when it concerns engine sound.

They are because they’re using the same cutout for both instead of designing a unique/separate front end for a true Mercedes-Benz grille. It’s shameful.

I don't recall Mercedes having used "unique" front for "true" Mercedes grill vs sport grill (mind point me out) E Class W212 and C207 pre-facelift have same front with traditional and sport grill in the same shape and cutout. In preface lift version which get styling of C Class W205, it is the sport grill that looks like an afterthought. With the traditional grill, the hood shut line stops at the surrounding chrome trim. In the sport grill, we clearly see a surrounding space, but it is body colored instead of being the grill trim.
In the new W206 the hood line clearly does not stop at the grill. If they made what a traditional grill they way I understand you wishing it, either the chrome trim would be 10 cm thick to reach the hood or would overall not look good with a strange shaped colored body/bumper part connecting the hood to the grill. The overall design of the C Class W206 is not the same as in S Class W223. According to your opinion, the W223 grill also could look afterthought. I don't know, you probably already mentioned it in that thread?

The problem is that they're designing these new cars for the sports grille not the traditional one and that is why the tradition grille looks tacked on. The W212 didn't carry a sports grille on the sedan so I don't see what that has to do with anything I'm saying here. That car carried a traditional grille. The C207 never carried a traditional grille, so again irrelevant to these newer Benz models that they are tasking with carrying both.
