I can't wait to see and experience a C450 Sport. Hopefully MBUSA will do the right thing and sell the car here. It needs 9G and RWD and optional AWD.

It's sad that MB is still behind on lighting technology when it's 2014. Everyone is already moving from xenon to LED's and MB is still stuck with halogens.

A $20k Toyota Corolla has xenon now and a $50k MB is rocking halogens.

BMW too. F10 5er for instance. Damnnnnn

They gave that thing a thrashing, and even took it on the grass. Does anyone know who they use for this kind of testing ??

Should be ring qualified test engineers/drivers, every company has a bunch of them

Mercedes-Benz plotting AMG Sport lineup to sit below fully-fledged AMG models - report

This engine has a good potential. Vaeth Tuning manages to get 460 hp from W212 FL E400 with their V40 S kit. C450 with 460 hp can be a very serious car.

The reason why the C-Klasse and 3er still use Halogens as well as other compact and mid models from both manufacturers is because of the huge fleet sales for these cars in Europe , Government or Police fleets take huge amount of the cars and they require no complexity so they are easy to maintain and cheaper to purchase.
Another is that the base 3er and C-Klasse are popular with retirees also and therefore they buy these cars in their most basic specification.
Repairing an LED requires a trip to the service centre where as a halogen bulb can be replaced in a few minutes.
This will still happen and where the story might be different for markets like the US with standard LED etc Remember the US only accounts around 10% of global sales and that the largest market for the 3er and C-Klasse has and will always be Germany.

Because there's no way AMG is going to go backwards with the C63.

What you say has nothing to do with my post.
Even the iconic M3 is a step backwards in some fields compared to the last gen even tho it's faster and has a way better interior.

PS: I still didn't get a reply from @Amat46. Maybe it's time to contribute by adding content to your clicks.

True, but that Corolla is put together like a tin can and needs those features to make its case for purchase.

Rented a new Volvo V60 yesterday. The car is a 2013 model, but God how much better the c class is compared to it. The steering, buttons, interior finish, reverse camera, parking sensors are way beyond the V60.

Volvo V60 price: $35,750 USD
Mercedes-Benz C-Class price: $35,800 USD

to be fair though, that pic of the c class with all those options costs close to 60k...i see burmester, multi media pack, amg line, driver safety pack, hud...

the v60 in the picture above is also loaded. i see a lot of the buttons are "active" compared to the hire car.

Do buttons make a difference? I think its the interior layout and interior colors that makes a difference.

Even in bog standard trim the C-class interior is better looking and built than the S60/V60
