C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.
You really can't compare a Volvo to a Mercedes interior wise until the next generation of Volvo interiors come along.

This x1000. It's no contest until the next generation of Volvo interiors comes and we see how fit and finish is. We know it's designed nicely, but how will it hold up?

Soooooo true. Did you see the upcoming XC90 interior??? It is mind-blowing!

I would buy that 7 seater just for that interior, even though I don't need the space!

Yeah the new Volvo interior is stunning. It is going to be a major selling point. Hopefully the exterior is just a captivating.

^^That volvo interior is heavily influenced by Tesla central console + Class switch gear + SLS door knob. Nothing so exciting or breath taking.

While I don't necessarily agree on the design influences (Tesla-esque touch screen excepted) I do agree that the interior isn't any thing special. It's very nice, but I wouldn't consider it mind-blowing by any stretch.

Even so, it's execution of all those elements are the best possible iterations that I've seen. It's certainly a power move by Volvo.

It's sad that MB is still behind on lighting technology when it's 2014. Everyone is already moving from xenon to LED's and MB is still stuck with halogens.

A $20k Toyota Corolla has xenon now and a $50k MB is rocking halogens.
Mercedes are one of the leaders in lighting technology. Have you seen the dynamic adaptive LED lights on the new CLS? The Toyota Corolla also has halogen lights as standard equipment, zenons are optional. The Corolla doesn't even have LEDs as an option. Most cars from the compact executive series and lower priced have halogen lights as standard equipment. Zenons and LED's are mostly optional extra. Some cars have LED daytime running lights as standard but dip and main beam LED's are optional in most cars except maybe top line BMW's/Audis and Mercs.

The Corolla here has standard LED headlights (I'm talking about the low-beam). They're not nearly as bright as the ones found in luxury cars though.

It's not just using/having LED or Xenon. It's also what the lights can do and how they function in the particular cars. AMS had an interesting test a few months ago. They were testing several cars. One of them for instance MB A Klasse had Xenon and one had Halogen and Audi A8 LED vs Xenon. Some were tested better with Xenon than the onces with LED (If I remeber correctly that was teh case with a BMW 4er). Come to think of it, Autobild had also a light test some time ago. Unfortunately I can't remember when.

Are there any performance figures out for the C300 and C400 in the US?
