Lol no. MFA I and II are not Renault chassis under a different name. The Megane is on the CMF-C/D chassis that very clearly has different hard points and dimensions. No offense, but if you were a sales director you had more homework to do. As a fun fact, the Mercedes that are on the Megane chassis include the Citan and T-class.

The engine sharing is true and has been thoroughly documented.

In my country the A class also increased in price by around 5700EUR but it has a premium package compared to the previous gen of 2860EUR , so the price increase is 2840EUR

I don’t know about this Renault chassis business but I’ve had a 2019 A250 for over 3 years now and of all the cars that I’ve bought new, this one has the worst perceived quality: there are at least 3 or 4 separate sources of rattles/resonances of various frequencies within the cockpit that make themselves known at different speeds. After 3 years of ownership, the dealer has succeeded in eliminating one of the rattles. So only a few more remain and are now even more pronounced as the loudest one was eliminated. I’ve given up to be honest and I have a new car on order, but lead times are long at this time….

I dont. They have the same entry engines and the A-Class is based on a Megane chassis.

Also the interior is not at Mercedes level at all, plastic fantastic everywhere, many Japan/Korean models in this segment have a better interior quality.
Thats why i’m saying that i’m happy it will be over with those cars which are not good for this brand.

The only thing the A-class uses from Renault is the 1332cm3 petrol and 1.6 diesel engine, otherwise Mercedes has unique chassis. The Megane still uses torsion beam rear axle on all models including the top RS models but they have 4 wheel steering (see below cut away), but the A-class has mix of torsion beam on lower models and multilink on higher end models.
