Didn't Manny Khoshbin have an order ? Pretty sure that was the case (unless he ended up cancelling later on)

You know what he did. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a video about his order being cancelled.

And he will probably rant about how the promise didn’t match reality, and how he didn’t like the idea of a single clutch manual et al

Indeed, there are isolated design elements that may reflect where M-B will be going with its' production cars in the future. Save some of the aero elements, the AMG Project One features a very clean, cohesive design. It could actually provide the basis for an elegant, .EA-based hypercar.

I dont know why but seeing this car reminded me of the Mclaren F1 when it was launched.

Regarless of the specs, this thing will look more exciting than anything if you are lucky and saw one on the road.

there are certain angles where this car does actually look fabulous and a genuine hyper car. I like the top 3/4 view with that shark fin spoiler and duct and also front head on it looks aggressive, low and wide.

The nice thing about this cars design is you wont mistake it for any other car, it really is a Mercedes in its styling DNA.

Do we know for a fact that this car will be underwhelming? The 918 was the most underwhelming of the last hypercar trio *on paper*, but on the average track, it was the winner. The AMG One is certainly a bit 'fat', but let's not discount that high-revving F1 engine. It could go very fast around corners and make up for the so so specs. This is not to mention the gains from the complex aero work. I'm not ready to rule it out yet. After all, if I remember correctly, the F1 went around the Nurburgring much faster than Veyron despite the inferior specs.

i hope this goes the way of the 918 and overdelivers, but then again, Porsche has a habit of underpromising and overdelivering

Is the backing soundtrack so loud so as to drown out the sound of the engine?

Wow. This car has four metal catalytic converters, two ceramic catalytic converters, and two gasoline particulate filters. That definitely didn't help weight. Emission standards really caused a lot of drama for this thing.

I guess now we see why it isn’t coming here.

Why could they not have slapped a 730 HP V8 from the Black Series GT and called it a day? So much drama to get a Formula 1 engine just for bragging rights.

Because they where drunk when they made the decision, they have admittet it. We have to excuse them, we have all done stupid things when we are drunk.
