GT (C190) [Official] Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) is the first generation 2-door sports cars produced by Mercedes-AMG. Body styles: C190 (coupé), R190 (roadster). It is succedeed by the Mercedes-AMG GT (C192) - coupé, and the Mercedes-AMG SL-Class (R232) - roadster. Production: October 2014 – September 2022; 2021–2023 (AMG GT Black Series; 2022 (AMG GT Track Series; Limited 55 units).
I doubt its previewing the new CLS, as it has a fastback profile, but the plain body might do?

I see some Vision Maybach, Vision Gran Tourismo and actually in the profile I see the F700 concept.

The production one will be stellar which will be a slightly toned down concept and boy with 800+ HP. Cant wait!

My only fear is that MB rarely does a "slightly" toned down version of the concept when it comes to their production cars. Prime examples are the A-Class and CLA... they look nothing like the amazing concepts that previewed them and are IMO the worst looking cars MB has ever built.

This generation A class is definitely not worse than the first two generations... Actually it's a very good hatch.

I don't know what to say here. I like the idea of such a car, but this looks too much like a bunch of other cars to me. No interior shots either? This is one case where I think that if they tone it down for production it will be better than the concept. I need to see the production version. Hopefully there will be an entry level I6 version with 450+ hp along with the V8 versions.

Those are low end models based on a FWD architecture. You just have to look at the S-Coupe Concept to see an upscale model does not need to be too turned down when it becomes a production model.

Looking at the CLS spy pics you can clearly see the same theme of the rear and front, you can even notice in the new spy pics the rearlight shape that matches the AMG GT Concept perfectly.

I think we are looking already at the upcoming CLS details, while the final AMG GT 4dr will follow the current design direction of the AMG GT with some updates to make it look fresh.

This's exactly where I lay my hopes.

This concept has some nice lines and deatils for the future models, for example the upcoming cls(e). But as a whole concept it looks so so.

Look again. CLE frontlights are totally different to these ones. Same for the rear ones.

Not even the LEDs shape is the same.

Isn't this just a concept of the rumored Porsche Panamera rival and not a preview of multiple models to come?

The S concept coupe shows how's the production model can turn out even better than the concept, despite losing some of the conceptual detailing.

Maybe, but people will still bitch about how it didn't look as good as the concept - the door handles, the roof, the standard wheel proportions... it's the no-win territory that occupies internet opinion land. People who aren't buyers, designers, or engineers get to claim whether or not the package, the looks or the feel is up to spec....

^ you forgot to mention the ' THE HOOD SHUTLINE'

Whilst I know you're aiming that at Klier, the Bim'to the zizo'post will f#cking whinge about anything if it's not got a 'Murican eagle and Trumps face on it.. and that's really where alot of the shutline criticism seems to stem from... those in Europe seem to get used to it. I might be wrong...

Dr. Z looking very 'sporty' :D

The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced that the concept would look amazing, and perhaps more unique with the greenhouse from the first gen CLS.

Then again, many people who have seen in the flesh have stated that it looks spectacular.

This generation actually is the first generation. The previous car was an A class in name only, and a radically different car.

And it's not a good hatch, imo.
Looks poor, drives poor, feels poor. Not a Benz in any way.

Uhm....the only thing I understand from this is my name.... :D

The front lights are totally different in shape to the Mustang and are slanting upwards instead of horizontal in the Ford.

And rear end looks totally different as well to the Porsche Panamera. Only resemblance is the shape of the fastback roof and rear window.
