Gercollector made a lap at 1.25.23, but he said there were laps at 1.24

Surely a flat crank should have less torque at low engine speeds but better torque at high engine speeds?

I was told that there is more toque at both low and high engine speeds. The engine is basically far more responsive than the previous V8.

The engine note sounds like a hi-speed shake blender.

It is not a pretty car by any means, just looks cool with that large grill.

First initial sprint times are really quick, especially to 200km/h in 8.8sec which is as fast as new Turbo S. Maybe in more favorable conditions and a good surface it could be 8.5sec or less.

Can we also talk about Shmee's haircut? He seems to have been inspired by Doug Demuro's hair!

While the car is quick, it isn't that ahead of previous competition. Something like a GT2 RS, Performante, Pista or even an SVJ will give a run for it's money and surpass it at higher speeds. Not talking about the 765LT, since it will make it look slow.

This car is 55K more expensive than even 765LT!? Quite a price...

In UK only. In Germany the price of AMG GT BS and 765LT is almost identical at around 335k EUR incl. VAT.

While it's not that fast in a straight line, it did set a very impressive lap time of 1:24.xx.

Okay, that may be the case for this engine due to other design changes but usually a flat (180deg) crank has less low down torque due to having less pushes per revolution I think.

Btw, Shmee is always very positive in his reviews, he rarely says anything negative about the car he is testing but you could see/hear his disappointment in his video when he talked about the Black Series sound. Very quiet outside and most of the interior sound comes from speakers.

This car is going to be fast as hell on track with some Cup 2 Rs on.

Wow he got some smashing figures:
0-60mph in 3.13sec
0-100mph in 6.05sec
1/4mile in 10.61sec

That was not with a proper launch either, it looked like stalled slightly on initial launch.

Maybe properly set up this car can get 0-100km/h in 3.1sec, 0-160km/h in 5.6sec 0-200km/h in 8.3sec.
