GT [Official] Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door sports cars produced by Mercedes-AMG. While not directly replacing the SLS AMG (competing in a different segment), it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.

The X290 is a very polarizing car. And configuration is EVERYTHING regarding eye appeal (or the lack of).
This particular example is stellar, IMHO.

I eagerly await the AMG.EA electric GT 4 door. Prototypes are displaying proportions that are very attractive. Very sleek and athletic, far less porpoise-like in direct comparision with the X290. Hopefully, M-B designers get the details right.

The new front splitter that mimics the 2-door GT does nothing for the 4-door IMO. The previous version was better as it added a bit more flair and drama. Why bother changing it when it was just released not too long ago.

AMG should have used the same PHEV V8 powertrain in detuned 700HP form in the C63, it would have saved AMG alot of money to just keep 1 powertrain in C, GT 4door and S-class and could also be used in an upcoming E63 SE Performance.

Yes, wholeheartedly agree. At the vey least, the V-8's replacement should not have been a four-cylinder engine. One of the worst cases of a car company completely overestimating how much they understand their clientele and/or their own power of influencing customer desires or industry progress.

I live near a very affluent area and have seen all of the latest AMGs (GT, S) but I have yet to see a single C 63. I imagine it is already on sale here in the U.S. (Michigan)

Took Mercedes forever to get this car to the USA, but it's here.

Same thing here. I see S63s now and not a single C63. Non scientific but yeah.

Forget the engineering or the tech advancements, it’s s prestige thing as well. If I’m spending that kind of coin for something special it’s got to have a solid motor especially for an AMG.

I can’t imagine them not switching back to the V8.

A GT 4-door that rides better than a S Class. There is either some funky pre-production issue with these press vehicles or AMG forgot some lessons from Mercedes HQ.
