E-Class [Official] Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body configurations. Produced since September 1953, the E-Class falls as a midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations.
words cannot describe this monster.....

I put a early deposit it before it was revealed, really hope I can get an early allotment!!

Anyone know what color they are using to show off the new E63S? Picture below:

Quick comment about the car, I wish the rear wheel arches are flared to match the front arches.

Not bad, but also not exciting to me. Technology behind this car and it's performance numbers are something to applaud to... Kudos to MB for that.

But the looks is boring and those rims must be the crappiest AMG rims i've seen on a AMG car. They look like some aftermarket cr@p. Theydon't suit the car at all, imo...

The numbers are absolutely scalding. An absolute bruiser.

I'll abstain on critiquing the looks until we see more real-life pics. There's something off with these press pics but I can't seem to place my finger on it. BMW, MB, and Ferrari press pics tend be so over photoshopped that you can't get a real sense of the car, IMO.

One thing I will say is that I do like the new AMG grille.

The wheels aren't terrible, but I don't think it befits this car. With its possibly faux center-lock, it's more befitting the AMG GT than a sedan even if it is an AMG sedan. I'd like to see some iteration of the trademark 5-spoke AMG wheels on this.

So the new 4matic system is called 4matic+?

Will future 4WD AMG cars get the plus name?

I have three criticisms.

First off, I still maintain that I hate, hate, hate, HATE how Mercedes sell an AMG model and an AMG S model. Just make one AMG model with 612 hp and 4Matic. No need for a lesser powered version. Just make the more powerful one, because, let's be honest, that's the one that's worth going for.

Second, what's with the names? Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+. That's a mouthful.

Third, those seats don't look like they are going to hug your body when going around corners, unless they have active bolsters.

My buddy at head office said we can expect a price range of $140-150k CAD with decent options for the E63, he's pretty accurate with his ballpark figures when it comes to new MB vehicles.

I assume that the E63 coupe and the bespoke AMG GT4 will do the 0-100kmh in ~3,3 seconds? What for a fking beast this car is.

^do you reckon the GT4 project is still happening? Everything went quiet about it lately.

You can't blame them. It's a profit strategy. Tweak the ECU and boost, chuck in some ceramics and charge a whole lot more money for the folk who simply have to have the "S".

BMW do exactly the same with the M5.

I like the obsidian black on page 3. Wish we could see more angles of this color. I am sure this has been discussed before with the non-AMG E class, but is the center console plastic?
