P1 [Official] McLaren P1 Supercar

The McLaren P1 (codenamed P12) is a flagship sports car produced by McLaren Automotive. It is the second installment in McLaren's Ultimate Series after the McLaren F1. Considered to be the spiritual successor to the F1, the P1 was one of the first high performance sports cars to be introduced incorporating hybrid technology; the Porsche 918 Spyder having begun taking orders prior to the P1 and the LaFerrari introduced alongside it.

I did a search and I don't believe these numbers have ever been seen here! Anyway it's a good excuse to hear the Mclaren/Ricardo V8 being extended on the dyno! It's for a forced induction engine a very good "noise!".:)

"The McLaren P1 is my all time favorite car! It has absolutely everything anyone could ask for from the look, to the performance, to the way before it's time factor! An absolute beauty to look at and a beast on the road and track to drive. Unfortunately, I have yet to drive it on public roads! The reason you may ask? It is a delivered mile P1! I was on the hunt for one to drive and track and came across this gem in Dubai and bought it to hold it and keep delivered mile so I will need to find another to drive! But can I stand now driving it? I drive all of my other cars after-all!!"

All the best of luck to him!

The P1 has aged very well, it still looks fresh.

As per Car Expert website a new successor is expected in 2026 as well as a Hybrid replacement for the recently revealed 750S.

The McLaren P1 is set to get a hybrid V8 successor in 2026, according to documents showed to dealers in Woking.

Automotive News reports McLaren this week used its global retailer meeting to preview details about a two-seat, hybrid V8 hypercar that follows in the footsteps of the P1.

According to sources quoted by Automotive News, the new hybrid system will be up to 70 per cent lighter than current-generation systems, and “produces much more horsepower and delivers the power more directly to the transmission”.

The new Artura supercar is the first mainstream McLaren to adopt a hybrid drivetrain, but it pairs an electric motor with a turbocharged V6 rather than the V8 reportedly coming to the new hypercar.

According to the report, the hypercar will feature an F1-style carbon tub with integrated seats, 3D-printed suspension parts, and F1-inspired aerodynamics – although we’re hoping they’re not too F1-inspired given the current state of the team.

Also coming in 2026 is a hybrid follow up to the twin-turbo V8 750S revealed earlier this week, according to the report.

Following those two in 2028 will be a four-door, four-seat car. Will it be an SUV? That remains to be seen.

Previous reports from the likes of Autocar have suggested the brand is gearing up to reveal an electric crossover in the second half of the 2020s.

The British publication says the crossover range will be “relatively low, compact, dual- or tri-motor, four-wheel-drive designs offering exalted performance levels likely to match the recently launched Aston Martin DBX 707“.

McLaren has been one of the only sports car makers holding out against the world’s inexorable push to SUVs.
