P1 [Official] McLaren P1 Supercar

The McLaren P1 (codenamed P12) is a flagship sports car produced by McLaren Automotive. It is the second installment in McLaren's Ultimate Series after the McLaren F1. Considered to be the spiritual successor to the F1, the P1 was one of the first high performance sports cars to be introduced incorporating hybrid technology; the Porsche 918 Spyder having begun taking orders prior to the P1 and the LaFerrari introduced alongside it.
I’ll say it again, in hindsight the P1 is the best looking of the holy trinity and has aged well - it still looks fresh and modern. It’s followed closely by the 918 Spyder which, while being even more timeless, is a less dramatic and more classic shape. Whilst initially creating the biggest stir, the LaFerrari is the least memorable in terms of its design (in the flesh it’s even a bit ungainly from certain angles) and luckily it has that atmospheric V12 to make up for it.

New McLaren Hypercar Coming This Year: Report!

The P1 successor is expected to have gullwing doors and over 1,000 horsepower.

11 years have passed since McLaren took the wraps off the P1 in production guise. Although there have been many special models from Woking since 2013, a true successor for the hypercar has yet to see the light of day. By year's end, we may finally see a flagship from the exotic British marque. Thankfully, it'll still have a large-displacement combustion engine."

Continues.

The limited production P18 features a newly developed carbon fiber chassis with integrated seat backs to improve rigidity and safety while trimming weight. It will have 3D-printed suspension components and F1-style aero design elements.
The new vehicle will be the first McLaren without dihedral doors, sporting gullwing doors instead, similar to the Aston Martin Valkyrie, sources said.
“It has to be able to deliver 10 laps of sustained performance”
I smell a very hardcore track focused car.

It looks like all three brands that formed the "holy trinity" of 2013 have gone more track focused with their next generation of halo cars. F250 dropped V12 and has adopted serious aero features, Mission X is targeting Nordschleife production lap record and will have huge venturi tunnels and now the McLaren P18 follows the same sort of recipe.
More than a decade later, we're in for a very cool clash of supercars once again

Hypercars yes. I've coined it "War of the Hybrids." There's quite a few LOL!

Very curious to see this, it is supposed to be the new installment of the most special and all-powerful McLaren, LaFerrari level etc......

Very obviously I know she's gone, long long since but I've always loved the McLaren P1.

Shame no right hand drive cars exist. Definitely not buying one now.🙂
