Next to a Pista, the LT could be mistaken for a hyper car.

To me, it is a hyper car. The fact that they don’t sell for over $1mm is nuts. If the Xago Lambo can expect over $1.5mm the 765 should be on par. It demolished a Pista in all regards

Whats traction like in the lower gears? Do you short shift to prevent the tyres from slipping at the slightest jab of the throttle?

if the tires are warmed up enough it’s fine. My best 0-60 is 2.73 with no rollout. That would be 2.5 in an American mag so that really quick for a RWD car. The car came on pzeros. They were great. I recently switched to Michelin pilot Sport 4S and they suck. I’ve been using the burnout mode frequently to trash them ASAP.

With the stock tires the traction is actually remarkable. The car doesn’t spin or feel floaty. It feels like it’s digging into the ground 100 times in a split second and then you’re off.

P1 and 765 are essentially exactly as quick as one another. This is confirmed by a friend of mine who has both (and a Senna, 918, etc.)

Makes sense. The 765 LT is the quickest gas powered-only car ever made.

save for Bugatti and Ksegg and other silly things, yes. Although I’d love to take a Ksegg in real life 0-130.

Looking at some videos the Ksegg doesn't seem quick up to 200km/h, but from 200 to 300 they seem to be insanely quick. Do they have traction problems all the way to 200km/h?

I think it's too much power to possibly get it to the ground at lower speeds combined with a slow and overwhelmed gearbox. My best 0-200 is 6.9 seconds (no rollout). I can't see, in real life, a Ksegg touching that. Maybe the Jesko could get sub 7 bc is seems to have a better gearbox. But sub 7 is really hypercar quick. 200-300 though, which I've never been able to test, the kseggs would crush a 765.

I think this car will be a classic as one of the last non electrified supercars with hypercar performance.

The next generation McLaren's the 720S/765LT will be FACELIFTED cars. That's what the guys at McLaren Life state plus I've read a Top Gear Magazine article stating much the same thing. The hybrids V6 McLaren Artura based come afterwards with potentially 4WD.

Evos video makes sense to me. That’s such a tiny track. Extra power is near irrelevant in a RWD car. Run same day and conditions as the Pista id guess the 765 is only .5 seconds quicker. But you’d have way more fun. And in a straight line the punch is a different league.

Delta hp ATW= 744hp~ accordingly to the tuning professional

Recalibrated hp ATW= 829.26hp
Recalibrated torque ATW= 679.89lbs/ft

Crankshaft hp X13%= 937.06hp
Crankshaft torque X13%= 768.27lbs/ft or 1041.63NM!=🔥

^^^Dynograph proof and capture.

I mean, it's pure insanity! I know a slightly more modified example hit 8.9X in the 1/4 mile and 1.7 seconds PLUS rollout 0-60MPH from memory on prepared surfaces.

I've got to take my hat off to the guy! I if in a similar position wouldn't bother, but then I'm not and he IS!

LOL!
