NX [Official] Lexus NX Crossover Concept

From Deceptions to Optimus Prime. Congrats to Lexus more adding some likeability to the design. As cool as the concept looks in CGI, it's ruggedness is ugly in real life images.

Boy these guys are dead serious about the look of their cars! Not sure how many female buyers they're going to alienate with this polarizing design. I won't comment on everything, but one thing I'm not liking is the black plastic around the wheel arches. It makes the space between the sheet metal and the tire look larger than it really is. Rear-end looks pretty good in these photos.

Great effort from Lexus for keeping most of the concept car in the production model, I don't think I have seen metal sheets being pressed into all these angles and surfaces.

Europe says "NO!"

Sorry, Lexus ... No place for you in Europe!

Have you guys seen Lexus sales figures in Europe? They are beyond catastrophic. And this "little wonder" WON'T change that at all.

Toyota / Lexus has lost it. Want a nice Japanese car? Get a Mazda.

Sure the Americans will go crazy for this one ... As they just LOVE Lexus ... The only people in the world. Go figure.
It's a phenomenon how Lexus/Acura/Infiniti are doing so well in US ... but elsewhere in the world they are completely marginalized.

Is it wrong for me to say , I actually think it has turned it well initially from the concept?
They really have conceived an individual design language without resorting to Mercedes and BMW design elements.
Will have a proper look next week.

I agree with you, but I don't think their new individual design language is entirely suitable for the premium market segment.

You have to see the RC in real life to see how these slashes and angles actually work. It definitely needs to be seen three dimensionally , I imagine the NX would be the same.
The interior of the RC when illuminated is very distinctive Japanese automobilia. It may look like an old stereo in finish and graphics but it is definitely nostalgic.
