NX [Official] Lexus NX Crossover Concept

Lexus, you've got to be f@&king kidding me. After the LF-Awesomeness, you've just spat out rubbish.

Well not exactly. Originally it didn't look so horrendous, but the paper was scrunched up and thrown in the rubbish. Someone got it back out.....and the rest, well you know.

We should call it Master Shredder .... or is that where the original drawing should have gone.

I hate the design, but at least Lexus knows what a concept is. Lexus really needs to tell MB and BMW that concepts aren't sleeker/sexier versions of production vehicles.

Looks great!

 We agree on something!

IMHO its glorious! About time I say.

It's as vulgar but at the same time as super, super cool as any Lamborghini e.g. Coutach; Aventador or Reventon. A real break of the boring mold IMO

As cool as the Vomito!

I see where Human's coming from. As a CONCEPT, it looks out there...as a Concept Show car should be. However, only if it's a design study. As something that's supposed to be representative or a pre-cursor to the actual production car, I really don't know where Lexus is going with the NX. Either it's going to be really tame or really out there. Either way, Lexus will get flack for it. It should definitely get flack for basing it on the RAV4, but then again Audi's Q3 is based on the Tiguan.

Someone at Lexus should really calm down and take a long vacation.
it looks like their design process is becoming more and more like a brain storming session. Everyone gets to throw in an idea and every idea get carried out.
Nice work Lexus, you ruined your design team's reputation (which skyrocketed after the LF-LC) completely with this one.

You make a good point!

It's a concept at the end of the day and the production model will be toned down. At least Lexus is trying to 'design,' as mixed as the results may be.

Food for thought:

Honestly, with a more sleek, more defined nose that bears family the resemblance, what would have happened or what would the results be if it had a Lamborghini Bull Badge on the nose?

Naas, stop spamming unless you're really getting this hmmm... "car"
Can we ban him from this thread?
You are ruining your image, man! :D :P

PS: If it had a Lambo badge it will be right there with the Vomito. A Lambo badge won't help it... it will even harm it as the expectations would be Higher! Speaking of high... there's always a way to start liking something :D

exactly. Lambo has been harming their own image for a few months now already. So if this thing had a Lambo badge I wouldn't be surprised.

Chris Bangle recently said that the current car design trend is stuck and lacks innovation, so what does he think about this Lexus concept car?

I don't care how innovative he might think it is. There's no innovation here - this thing makes use of 1980's stealth fighter style faceting themes that are just so ancient and ugly.

I guess he would say that Lexus misinterpreted his words :D
