LFA [Official] Lexus LF-A Supercar (Production Version)

Lexus has no plans for an LFA successor

At least for the time being
Rumors about a Lexus LFA successor have been circulating ever since the model went out of production but a new report is indicating the company doesn't have any plans for a new supercar.

Speaking to Car Advice, RC F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi said "[The] LFA was certainly a special sports car for us to build as well, but we don’t have any plans right now [for a replacement]." He went on to say "... it will take a little bit of time to come up with, say, another one, but it would certainly mean a lot to build a super exotic sports car."

While that's disappointing news, Lexus believes they can elevate their performance image through motorsports and new models such as the RC F.

Lexus went out of its comfort Zone for this project and they managed an amazing result. i wish it would not take them that long again to produce a new exotic car.

does anyone know where to find group test 1-3?

"The throttle response is totally insane, to the point where even the CGT’s motor feels a little tardy by comparison"

"Despite my deep love for the Carrera GT I can’t put it ahead of the intoxicating and truly wondrous LFA"

Mint condition Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition on sale for £440,000

Driven for 6,300 miles
A rare Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition is up for grabs in United Kingdom for a cool £440,000.

Lexus made only 500 units of the $375,000 LFA supercar and ten percent of the production output was allocated to the Nürburgring Edition which was $70,000 more expensive. This particular car was the 298 unit built and has been driven for only 6,300 miles (10,139 km) so it shouldn't come as a surprise it appears to be in pristine condition.

We remind you the Nürburgring package came with an extra 10 HP (7 kW) on top of the 552 HP (406 kW) offered by the 4.8-liter V10 in the standard LFA. The kit included a carbon fiber front splitter and fixed rear wing, retuned gearbox providing quicker shifts, along with a stiffer suspension setup. Also on the menu were lightweight alloys along with front wing carbon canards.

The Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition seen here is available in UK at independent supercar dealer Joe Macari for £440,000.

The Tokyo Auto Salon wrapped up yesterday, and one of the Lexus vehicles on display was a drifting-build LFA — here are photos from Auto Culture Japan:

Details are far and few between, but judging from the booth display, the D1-spec LFA was built by Lexus dealership group Osaka Toyopet in partnership with Falken Tires.

Will it race in a drift competition? We’ll have to wait to find out.

Read many years ago, the downforce generated from the spoiler and flat underbody is 556 pounds at 202 mph, from what I remember. Nurburgring Edition must be higher.

Clarkson claims the Lexus LFA was the best car he ever drove on Top Gear.

Editor of www.PistonHeads.com, Dan Trent was surprised.

"An unexpected choice for Clarkson, especially given the drubbing he gave the last Lexus to appear on Top Gear," he said.

"But the LFA is something special, a one-off supercar built with obsessive attention to detail that took a decade to go from concept to reality. They very rarely come up for sale and the last one we had on www.PistonHeads.com was priced at £440,000. Lexus never made anything like it before and never will again. For that it's a proper hero car."

i saw that on carthrottle, i thought his best car from all of top gear would be the P1, must've been the sound of the turbos that prevented it from becoming the best
