Yes, I am seeing it as a bit subjective. The line breaks off at 8250 rpm and then the next notch is at 8500 rpm where the red section begins. So due to the line-break after 8250 rpm, I was not so sure. If the line did not break off then it being white or red would have made it clear, but that is not the case.
For confirmation, I checked out a few videos to see where the tranny is shifting at and the needle does seems to reach somewhere in the 8400 - 8500 rpm region so it could very well be 8500 rpm like you said. Sport Auto also has the graph plotted to 8500 rpm for the LP570-4 so it seems to corroborate what you are saying.
