LFA [Official] Lexus LF-A Supercar (Production Version)

But the LP560-4 tachometer I posted the link to clearly shows redline starts at 8500. That's also the redline that the C&D test sheet for the LP560-4 shows.

Yes, I am seeing it as a bit subjective. The line breaks off at 8250 rpm and then the next notch is at 8500 rpm where the red section begins. So due to the line-break after 8250 rpm, I was not so sure. If the line did not break off then it being white or red would have made it clear, but that is not the case.

For confirmation, I checked out a few videos to see where the tranny is shifting at and the needle does seems to reach somewhere in the 8400 - 8500 rpm region so it could very well be 8500 rpm like you said. Sport Auto also has the graph plotted to 8500 rpm for the LP570-4 so it seems to corroborate what you are saying.

So only one LF-A Spider is made? Whose the lucky owner?
The value of it will be sky high.

Rules of the race:

- Plane will get a 100 mph head start
- Lexus LFA launches from dead stop as the plane flies by at 100 mph
- Both start acceleration over the 4800 feet (1.5 KM) runway.
- Plane turns around and LFA needs to before taking the u-turn and then acceleration again.
- Race all way back to the starting line and LFA must come to a full stop before the plane crosses the finish line.

Lexus Caught Testing Third Special LF-A Called the AD-X with a Very Porsche Like Livery

We have to admit, Lexus has us somewhat baffled lately with its special LF-A prototypes roaming the famed Nürburgring test track.
As you may very well remember, over the past few months, our spies have nabbed two unique test cars, including a teal-colored model with black stripes and the "AD-A" inscription on the front fenders, followed by a green LFA, again with black stripes but with an "AD-B" label right behind the front wheel arches.
Now, we have a third (!) prototype, this one painted in a white color scheme with red accents on the body and wheels that brings to mind the Porsche 911 Carrera RS. It's named the LFA AD-X.
While similar to the other two prototypes that combine bits and pieces from the production Nürburgring Edition with special aero enhancements, the AD-X does sport some subtle changes such as the different rims that are painted red.
When asked by Lexus Enthusiast about the "AD" test cars back in July, Etienne Plas, senior manager of product communications for Lexus Europe, claimed that the automaker does not intend to produce these models.
"These LFA units spotted at Nürburgring are one-off vehicles developed by the TMC technical division, and are currently being tested for technical purposes only," said Plas. "We have no plans to produce and sell any new special edition of the LFA."

Takes a real man to drive a pink car :D..... I'd do it if it were an LF-A.

I seriously think Australia needs to cut the crap with these wrapped ridiculous colors. It is the same LFA that was wrapped in chrome before and now this.

I bet ya, Paris Hilton will be interested...however I do feel a horrendous crash waiting to happen:D

yeah, I've long since been over the whole "wrapped" car fad. Chrome just narcisstic BS. And I'm over the whole matte paint trend, however, I will admit the LFA is looks perfectly natural in that paint scheme. An M5 in matte colors...well, that's a different story.

BTW, I would drive the s*** out of that pink LFA. :D

Just read found out that the aforementioned pink-wrapped car was for Breast Cancer Awareness...yeah, I would definitely have my (hypothetical) LFA wrapped for a great cause like that.
