LFA [Official] Lexus LF-A Supercar (Production Version)

the LFA is 1 of 3 carbon tub FMR roadcars (if i'm not wrong), with the 2 other being SLR McLaren and One-77

technically the SLR Stirling Moss could count as the chassis is different from the standard one, but i'd count it as a sub-category of the SLR, while the Victor and Vulcan are racecars and also use the one-77 as base

Best thing Lexus ever made... period.

The car is a masterpiece and worth its inflated price. This car was ahead of its time.

If only it had a better gearbox. I know dual clutchers are heavier but there's no doubt that they work wonders with high-revving NA engines. Negligible drivetrain losses too compared to automated manuals.

yeah I do agree, saw the latest Throttle House review and the power train is not actually perfect.

But overall, the car has so much to make it desirable.

DCT's have higher drivetrain losses than automated manuals. They come with an extra shaft so that's one more gear mesh point added. Automated manuals (and normal H-pattern manuals, which have pretty much identical internals) actually have the lowest drivetrain losses out of all the gearbox types.

Thanks, I know this.

I’ll be shocked if that happens
Why? LC F and TTV8 so as LF-1 are definitely canceled. 2GR (NA V6) gets replaced by T24A (FI I4). Lexus enters the era of I4 turbo hybrids and BEVs, the timing is right.

Lexus performance cars are not competitive, they can't and will never be, because the badge just doesn't stand a chance against the established German ones, and now even Tesla is wiping the floor in terms of performance. But a one time project is a regular occurrence at TMC.

They can make it but definitely not call it the LFA …..that name is a classic and should not be tainted.

Maybe one day as a BEV when cars are less emotional.

Seems definitely plausible if the ttV8 is still in the works and LC-F project restructured into something more extreme and exclusive.

The editing and production value of that video is amazing! So good. Also the CGT is crazy quick! 132 in the 1/4 is no joke.

I would own the LFA to drive and CGT to look at.

Both sound legendary but I love the Lexus wolf-like tone.
Imagine driving them both and just hearing the V10 music howling behind your ears. They both are legends and probably amongst the finest sounding cars ever.
