One thing is clear, this car is now the only sedan Lexus will have in a just a short time. It is now the size of the LS in a lot of areas and the interior features make the LS irrelevant to Lexus buyers who don't know or couldn't care less about RWD vs FWD. The might redesign the IS to have one sports sedan and this will be their luxury offering. It's back to the original formula, just 2 sedans in a few years, IMO.

Unfortunate Chinese-looking body with an odd face and screen-heavy interior. And fixed glass roof damnit.

It's bold. I think in real life it will look good. It's a damn shame about those FWD proportions at the front, though.

The flank sculpturing is convoluted, odd and a bit tacky. Less would have been far more. Otherwise, from the base of the A-pillars back it has an attractive silhouette. From the base of the A-pillars fowards, not so good IMHO. A few opportunities missed here.

Terrible. Really looks like a Chinese car - and it is. It's a thinly veiled reskin of the Toyota BZ7, also unveiled today, that's a three-way Chinese development project between Toyota, GAC, and BYD:

The most shocking bit is that the Toyota looks much better and more luxurious than this inside-out. Really feels like Lexus has completely given up on anything that isn't the bread-and-butter RX and NX.

From the side, the sedan features a notchback design. Overall length has increased by 165 mm, and it has an 80 mm longer wheelbase. The ES measures 5,140 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,555 mm (1,560 mm BEV) in height. It has a 2,950 mm wheelbase. The front and rear tracks are increased by 64 mm and 82 mm respectively. As a result, the front-to-rear seat distance has been extended by 77 mm to 1,102 mm.

Like HarmonyOS! Lexus should have a proprietary next generation system

The interior screams "chinese". I don't mean "chinese" is bad, but leave that to NIO, Li etc. I expect something different from LEXUS.

IMO the interior looks more German than a Benz. But what do I know, I will be labelled a BMW fanboy for such comments.

like toyota camry v80 but more future

This is completely different from the Lexus. Looks hideous and my Gosh the flash isn't helping its cause.
