Z Series [Official] E89 BMW Z4

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.
and now imagine:

i35, 7speed Double-clutch, extended leather, M-Package...

and as the V8 is not available: the Alpina-Version 360HP, 500NM torque (which I hope will come soon), 1600kg...

and all this at a (IMO) reasonable price !

Isn't that a dreamcar?

I'll get one - or still the M3 Convertible?... I wounder :eusa_danc

An Alpina would be stunning - with the great BiTurbo V6!!:bowdown: I hope, they will produce one…

German prices (Euro)

BMW Z4 sDrive 23i (204 bhp) = 35,900.- euros
BMW Z4 sDrive 30i (258 bhp) = 42,900.- euros
BMW Z4 sDrive 35i (306 bhp) = 47,450.- euros

Nice price for the 35i considering that the Boxster S is 54k in Germany and comes pretty much bare at that price.

A night sleep made this car even prettier than before.
Mindblowing design, like the F01 7er. BMW is so on a roll, it's crazy.

I wonder why BMW didn't put this much effort in when designing the lacklustre F01. The Z4 is once again the symbol of BMW's design department.

Well as a matter of opinion I prefer the overall elegance that is the opulent design of the F01 exterior. Both have stellar interiors. Good to see BMW have made the iDrive control individual to each model so far - mainly the controller designer.

Fantastic design, impressive attention to detail. That massive and intricately shaped bonnet must be expensive and difficult to manufacture.

I noticed something interesting, there seems to be a small light behind the inner lens of the headlights. This is my wimmer style paint job to point it out. The small light seems to have its own light ring around it.

Might be the cornering light?

It looks like it has its own ring around it, but I think its just the light from the other rings:

The car in blue is stunning.

Slightly worried about the price.

Anyone know if it can fit an electric guitar hard case in the trunk with the through loading option to the front passenger seat (which is a surprisingly first for a roadster and very practical and cool feature)?

strange question I know.

Mike

The front end is absolutely fantastic. How did they get this z4 so right and the 7-series so wrong.

The interior is outstanding as well.

The rest I need to digest.

Simply incredible !!! :usa7uh: :eusa_clap :usa7uh:

Absolutely stunning ! So classy, and sporty, and dynamic !!!:t-drive:

Pure genius how all the design lines represent the movement, the wind on the car, deforming it... Pure freedom...

Well done and thanks BMW: you've build my perfect dreamcar...

And I'm definitely buying one... :usa7uh:

I just noticed, there's so much leather on there!!! this can't be in the regular configuration. are BMW going to offer a full leather option like Porsche?

It's the extended leather option, looks great though.

An Extended Leather option (Z4 sDrive35i only) adds leather on the upper section of the instrument panel, the doorsills, the sun visors in Black leather as well as the leatherfinish door closing handles in upholstery color on the passenger’s side.

i'm so late to this thread,
there is hardly anything left to say
anyway
i'm so in love with this car, its just perfect
now im just curious what the bmw performance parts do to the design
