Corvette (C8) [Official] Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8)

The Chevrolet Corvette (C8) is the eighth generation of the Corvette sports car manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet. It is the first rear mid-engine Corvette since the model's introduction in 1953, differing from the traditional front mid-engine design started in 1963. The C8 was announced in April 2019, and the coupe made its official debut on July 18, 2019, in Tustin, California.
Man it looks awesome in this stealth spec. Awesome photo together with Ducati Panigale V4 SP2.

Who would've thought we'll see the Americans at the very top of the supercar world... and by quite some margin.
Absolute automotive perfection!

All the specs and performance are impressive especially for the price, but it's still a really ugly car.

Yes it does, but there is still something terrible wrong with the proportions

I have not seen one yet IRL, just the photo's. I will chime-in with a few comments when I eventually see one. One thing seems pretty clear though, it's quite an achievement.

Corvette E-Ray Spotted Totally Undisguised

"What looks to be a seemingly undisguised Corvette E-Ray prototype was caught driving on the road by our spy photographers, giving us our first opportunity to see the E-Ray's design outside of a digitally rendered configurator tool. As we saw with the leak earlier in December, it seems the E-Ray will get a body-c0lor version of the Z06's front fascia, along with the Z06's wider body.

It's out back where things get even more interesting. Instead of the center-mount exhaust design from the Z06, it seems the E-Ray will get the corner-mounted exhaust tips from the base Stingray, adding fuel to the rumor the E-Ray will use the push-rod LT2 engine out of the base Stingray rather than the 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank V-8 found in the Z06. Our spy photographers mentioned the lack of the Z06's V-8 wail when taking these photos, all but confirming the theory.

It's not clear at this time whether the electric motor (or motors) will power the front wheels or help the V-8 power the rear wheels, or both. We suspect the car will have at least one motor up front, going by a teaser video GM released back in April of the car testing on snow.

The E-Ray is expected to take the place of the Grand Sport in the Corvette's lineup, according to rumors dating all the way back to 2020. According to the configurator tool (before it was taken down), the E-Ray will become available in summer 2023. Which means we won't have to wait very long to find out more."

Very nicely detailed. V8 plus electric motor(s) the power will take a significant leap.:)

Edit~

"
  • An electrified powertrain, consisting of the atmospheric 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine good for 490 horsepower that powers the 2020 Corvette Stingray mated to an electric drive unit located in the front cargo area plus four 1.94 kWh batteries located in the middle of the car. Peak output of the hybrid system is expected to be around 85 kW (115 horsepower) and 111 pound-feet of torque, with some rumors pointing to the electric motor being able to spin to 16,000 RPM. Total system power is expected to be in the vicinity of 600 horsepower, focused on improving performance rather than on efficiency."
