Corvette (C8) [Official] Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8)

The Chevrolet Corvette (C8) is the eighth generation of the Corvette sports car manufactured by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet. It is the first rear mid-engine Corvette since the model's introduction in 1953, differing from the traditional front mid-engine design started in 1963. The C8 was announced in April 2019, and the coupe made its official debut on July 18, 2019, in Tustin, California.
Me. I really, really need a 296 GTS. Put a GT4 RS alongside it and that’d be my supercar fix sorted.

But make no mistake, I’m blown away by what Chevy’s achieved with these new ‘Vettes and if a Z06 is “all” I ever end up with then hallelujah!!!

One day in the future if supply chains ever sort and manufacturers get moving I’ll have a 296 alongside a Z06 and I’ll let you know what’s what. I have a feeling the Z06 will be the keeper, but having the 765 recalibrates that way I see adding cars. I don’t need a car that does big speed effortlessly and undramatically (296) because the 765 does bigger speed with all the drama and feel in the world. I really wish you and others could experience a ride. It’s such a marvelous vehicle. So I think I think the louder and slower Z06 has a more apt place for me.

Plus, and this stuff does matter, the UI and ergonomic environment inside the C8 is fantastic. The Ferrari is a complete mess from what I hear. That’s going to be annoying. I didn’t really play much with the buttons or try to connect my phone when i drove the 296. The 765 is at least very simple, but also compromised in certain respects. Try taking a phone call in it, for example lol. It’s forgiven though because dynamically, it’s just about perfect.

Huracan consistently 5 mph higher in trap. I feel the Z06 isn’t making 670 hp. It’s strange. Even at the higher weight it should be trapping the same as the Huracan at the stated HP. 11.8 to 130 mph isn’t really very good at all for 670 hp…..

That’s over 4 seconds slower than my 765 which is an eternity.

I think there's a few dyno plot sets somewhere. I can't remember the numbers but I think they matched manufacturer claims.

But as for the 765LT you need hypercars to best it. I still can't recall a proper or more "traditional" instrumented test of it yet which is very strange.

Looking further ahead I can't even think what a AWD hybrid will be like but for McLaren it's a few years off.

Every Z06 at the track so far has trapped 128-134. Trap speed is directly connected ti Horse power.

Brooks is down at 124 which tells you the DA there is horrible or that car is down on power for whatever reason. Being htc is not going to make you drop 4mph.

also 60-130 mph in 8+sec is bad.
people do 7.3 sec with the base z06.

smth is wrong.

Breaching Bugatti Veyron levels of power is one thing, Bugatti Veyron Supersport levels of power quite another!

But now we're reaching Bugatti Chiron levels of power? 1500hp plus?

Wow! And they are aiming for a 7 second 1/4 mile pass. That's got to be pushing near 200MPH

Welp...Finally locked my Z06 in at the dealer. I should have this year, hopefully before it gets too cold to break the car in!
