I dont understand share the experience with others. It not a freaking charity. And where are you going to share the experience other than on a track. In normal streets a C63 PP is just as capable as this BS. No save some cash or get a C63 + 1M
You can share the experience with friends, family, co-workers, etc. Doesn't have to be a charity.
You can share the experience anywhere you drive any other C63: on road, on track, at meet & greets. You can
use it when you pick up your kid
and his two buddies from school. You can use it on your lunch break with colleagues, where you might otherwise have to take 2 cars. We don't know that the C63 PP is just as capable or feels quite like the C63BS, but for me personally I know the C63 doesn't look anywhere near as desirable. I mean, we're not talking about an Elise or Atom here; it's a ~1700kg coupe originally designed for 4 people for chrissake. And let's not kid ourselves that so many people are so hardcore; CSL owners piled all the luxury and weight-adding options back on.
Yes, I could save cash and get a C63 + 1M. But then how would we know I'd get the same experience as from a C63 Black Series? This is like the "I could get a GT-R and a ZR1 for the price of a 458" argument. Yeah, I could. But what if I
don't want a ZR1 or GT-R, and I
want a 458? IMO, a Black Series, like an M3 GTS, 911 Sport Classic, or even the 458, isn't bought on objective matters of "this vs that." It's something I'd buy because I want it, because it appeals on an emotional level. And just as I wouldn't want an M3 with the rear seats tossed out for dubious performance gain at for-sure loss of practicality, I'd take my C63 BS with the rear seats, thanks. (Just as a concession to purely objective logic, I don't currently have the garage space for 2 cars anyway!)
It would be sort of like throwing out the passenger seats and belts on a McLaren F1 for the sake of performance; you'd be throwing away something that adds to the "cool factor" on the F1, and something that serves a definite functional purpose. It's entirely possible you don't understand how some might find that functionality very appealing.
