So the one man one engine thing can’t be happening here? Engines should be imported in SKD (semi knocked down)?
Interesting question and Im not sure how engines are imported SKD or complete, will try and find out for you.

But , let’s say they are SKD and one technician assembles the engine( as they do in Germany) would that not qualify as “ one man one engine” just assembled SA?

Would have to be someone more special that just a technician. What are the skills that make the AMG engine assembly team so special in Germany?

As has always been the case with Mercedes-Benz South Africa, engines (and gearboxes) come completely built from Germany. There is no work done on the engines at East London other than putting them into the car.

Probably the best looking steering wheel right now.

From MB or in general? Because I think the sports steering wheel in the 911 looks slightly better, but this MB one looks more expensive with the Alcantara and Carbon. The new C63 wheel does look great though.

In general. Out of all new steering wheel designs the new AMG with CF and Alcantara looks best with the new buttons added and twin blade flat bottom part.

Agreed, the CF is gorgeous.

Any idea whether the 12 o clock stripe can be different colours? The video suggested it could be, but the last DOG I saw said black only. Would look quite snazzy if it could match the seatbelts/white trim on the seats.
