X5 [Official] BMW X5 (F15)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

^ Focus on the F15 Scott, no vaporware now!

Its relevant to why the X5 looks more "commercial" as some have been saying. The strategy for premium manufacturers in large SUVs has grown to demand better, bigger and more luxurious.

a truly unimaginative redesign. I'd echo the same already said about the interior of all BMWs becoming quite boring. Did the design teams go on a super long holiday??

I love it!! The front is easily the best in the current BMW lineup, with nicely sized kidney grilles, the return of the proper bonnet shutline, and a superb lower front bumper assembly, another poor thing about current BMW design. The Air Breather is discreetly integrated, the glasshouse improved with a more pronounced Hofmeister kink and the rear is pleasing as well. The interior seems to be quite an improvement as well, easily better than the RR Sport's and ML's ( purely design wise of course ) IMO, the best F interior yet. Btw, what's the thing between the bottom of the grilles? A new camera system?

Not a fan of SUV's and no dramatic changes from previous version but thats the way customers want It I guess. I bet its going to sell extremely well once again. Now we wait for the next X6.

Aaaah, yes. That is fantastic indeed. Hope it's an indication of things to come. The hood shut lines are very poor on the F cars so far!

And the 'thing' below the grille is 100% a camera.

Hmm, really? The X5 looks like this because of a potential X7? Doubtful.

BTW, I am starting to warm up to it a little. New BMW designs always need time to digest. Rear remains weird, front and profile are excellent.

I like the front and the side profile, i'm not too sure on the rear though.. it just seems disproportionate?

The rear lights must be too big

No me gusta...

No sabia que hablabas español!!

The interior, while looking more upscale, doesn´t fit the car. It is just so werid? What have they done to the trip insertion across the dash?, and why the interior looks so 5er?

The rear is another strange mistake from BMW. The current X5 has a fantastic rear end, as does the X3 (best part of the car), and the latest BMWs, specially the 4er and the X4. Why is it so poor here?

Over all I can say it is a good car, no doubt about it, but I´m far from saying "WOW, look at it, the new (again) segment leader".

6.5/10

Man, feels like Pontiac proportions now. Very ill proportionate to my eyes !! Tall, long, fat, weird sheet metal and wheels look incrediably small, Gigantic greenhouse! This is worse that the 1er in my eyes, since that can be easily corrected by headlight bumper change "as seen on 2 series". This one is just wrong.

I find it interesting how BMW designs are getting fussier and fussier with more ornamentation which looks stuck on for the hell of it, like hose trimming on the lower part of the front bumper.

Its incredible how I like the most the part of this car which is most criticize-the rear. I like it, I give it a 8/10. Next is the interior which is also 8, then profile which is 7 and finally the front end which looks to me-not beautiful but also not ugly. Its just very very boring, I feel no emotion when I look at it. The cars front have a "boring stance" like she doesn't want to leave a garage ever, looks as laziness as Mr.Bundy in his couch with a beer and with one hand in his pants.

I'm not your traditional X series fan which might explain why I really like it. Though I'm not so sure white or brown will show it off as well as maybe Space Grey will.
