X5 [Official] BMW X5 (F15)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
No sabia que hablabas español!!

The interior, while looking more upscale, doesn´t fit the car. It is just so werid? What have they done to the trip insertion across the dash?, and why the interior looks so 5er?

The rear is another strange mistake from BMW. The current X5 has a fantastic rear end, as does the X3 (best part of the car), and the latest BMWs, specially the 4er and the X4. Why is it so poor here?

Over all I can say it is a good car, no doubt about it, but I´m far from saying "WOW, look at it, the new (again) segment leader".

6.5/10

Si como no ;)

I think the current X5 is the more attractive car overall. I'm just getting weird vibes from this one myself.

I just realized this to my great discomfort.

You did after having seen the E70 X5 for 7 years on the road? You thought this was the new Gelände where the basic car stays the same forever ;)

Also, G series 7er is next gen code for the 7er, the G11 (now F01/2)

Wow. The X5 was the only SUV in BMW's lineup which I had a soft spot for but with such a lazy redesign, I guess I no longer like any BMW SUV.

Damn, the more I see of it, the more I like it. Definitely a fan of it. Rear is nice, front is nice, interior is nice, only thing I don't quite like is the side profile of the rear, something Ssangyongy about it.

I moved all posts since EnI posted the first official photos into this new thread. I will also add the press release in EnI's first post shortly.

Am I the only one who thinks the front headlights are a bit of a mess? The design seems overcomplicated. In fact, most of the design looks kind of awkward. I really hope it looks better in person. (n)

Just my two billion cents:

All da fellas come spit on that shitty brand called BMW! DAMN!
The E70 is IMO the most beautiful SUV in history... The F15 is close to the ugliest SUV in history.
The interior tho is a great step up, for sure... that's all about it. I used to love both my E70s... design wise, drive wise, anything wise. When BMW starts disappointing even where they do best(SUVs) then it's a great let down.
I'm sick and I think I have temperature but the reason I'll go puke now is in this thread...

PS: I'll be honest... I can't even look at pictures of the F30 as it hurts my soul... I can't stand the F20 because it's a damn great car yet the ugliest BMW ever... The only good looking BMWs are the fat pigs now... not this fat pig for sure(the F15)...
So, if I want a real Bimmer I should either go with the ugly F20 or the "not so good looking" 2er...

Anyone feel free to dislike as much as you want. Here's someone who actually used to own 2 X5s and this generation might put me away from buying any other BMW... 4-Series included... rusty a**holes
Damn, BMW, damn...

Reminds me a lot of this. So much so that you could just put kidney shaped grilles on and pass it off as the new X5. I bet there will be a bunch of new Dodge/BMW dealerships popping up.

Yeah....ummm.... hmmmmm...

This is my current state of mind:
3c9891fd34ac056ddcdc35648cdb6cf3.webp

It was the same reaction by many when E70 was introduced: "too fuzzy, not aggressive enough, too big, too evolutionary, uglier than outgoing model" etc etc

It's normal. People do adapt. Eventually.
