The BMW M5 is a high-performance variant of the BMW 5 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. M5 models have been produced for every generation of the 5 Series since 1984, with occasional gaps in production (1995 to 1998, 2023 to 2024). Official website: BMW M
Would have been nicer if F90 M5 opt for wider rear wheel than 285 with flared rear fender. The rear quarter panel view looked too modest.

Absolutely! This is exactly what I thought when the car was released to the public. I was also blindly hoping for the same to have been altered on the Competition.....but, oh well :banghead::dummy::rolleyes:

This car is perfect. Brilliant driving position, impeccably monstrous power efficiently delivered. All the latest tech. So why does it not excite me at all?

My friend feels the same. He states if you have been in a 5er then there is not much of a touch and feel difference.
Ah OK Let me push the pedal...

Whoa-two consecutive images of highly desirable M5s' !

No matte-paint, black rim silliness here .

This past weekend I saw my first M5. It's a demo car and in person it looked fantastic. In the photos it doesn't come across but is stood out on the front lot. The carbon fibre fits are a lovely addition and add some exoticness. Does it look better than a G30 with M-Perfomrnace parts? Maybe, Maybe not. Does it matter? No.

It's a performance car with stealth and suits successful people who could even afford a Panamera Turbo but don't want to attract attention or raise eyebrows. It's no different to other M-Sport. In standard colours it's incognito while individual paint jobs makes it standout. The seats are a sight to behold. I've never seen anything like them in a saloon.

^^ I personally think the carbon bits look tacky as hell, mildly put.

...them looking like fake stickers isn't exactly helping the cause either.....

It's not a Porsche?

The carbon appendages only work when the actual colour disguises them.
If they are on a bright colour the front just looks unfinished. Ali's for example.
If it was a Carbon front splitter underneath then it would look like it actually belongs. But for the M carbon accessories it's another Fail for me.

To be honest, I didn't expect to like them at all but they blended with the black paint job very well. They were more subtle than I expected. As Scott said, they can look out of place against a lighter colour.

Sapphire black is definitely my fav color for the M5.. so sharp.
I didn't get the best angle of the car but in person it was as smart and good looking as a black Armani suit. The rear shot best reflects the depth of the colour.

True, i've always thought black sapphire is the best for BMW sedans.. now which works better with it tanned or red interior, that is the question. :D

British green.

Interesting. I wonder if this is a new Individual shade of green. Their BRG tends to look darker, almost like a hunter green.

This shade of green on the M5 that JHF posted, it seems lighter than BRG, almost like a jade green. or maybe it's the lighting or some weird filter.

There are many hues of British green.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
