M3/M4 [Official] BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

Guys, as the last few weeks as was barely active around here, is there a review of the M3/M4 by Chris Harris?

:)

In video form, no.

In fact, there hasn't been a video from Chris Harris about ANY car for many, many weeks. I've tried to find out why but to no avail. Something has definitely changed with regards the "Drive" channel. I did suspect they're trying to make it a conventional TV show like Top Gear and therefore are refraining from posting Chris Harris content online. /DRIVE on NBC debuted on 24th May, last month, their first foray into mainstream television.

They are in U.S. dealerships now...
Are they? I hope my local one has it. I have to take my car in for service and I'd love to check it out in person.

This is what the winner gets if they win the Moto GP this year.
Not like the winner can't afford one. Haha. But that's a really nice color. What is it?

5 reasons BMW nuts should respect the 2015 M3 and M4

3. Don't replace your Michelin Super Sports with cheap tires

#3 isn't necessarily a good thing. Because those pilot sports don't last very long. Not to mention what about those who live in places where you might need winter tires?

It's all 'bout the money...
That fat guy and other losers from Drive get paid the same, yet they make 20k views on YT vs a million for Chris. Little weird..

Is it possible to have the performance index and the laptime page, just like for the Jaguar ?

^^ Just came back from my local dealership. Saw M4 with the same color in the back going through it's preparation to be put out onto the showroom floor. It's such a beautiful color. Too bad I couldn't take a pic since it was bad lighting and most things were covered in plastic.

Looking at the M4 Visualizer, the only color available that is remotely close is Sakhir Orange. I don't believe BMW Individual customization is yet available for the BMW M3/4, and considering these folks must have placed their order very early, it would have to be a standard color. So Sakhir Orange seems correct.

Yup, spot on. It's Sahkir Orange, no debate possible. It looks different indoors.

Having just got back from the Goodwood Festival of Speed this evening, where that Sakhir Convertible above was photographed, I can tell you that in real life Sakhir looks nothing like that photo. Not of the cabrio or the coupe in post #810. If anything the most accurate photo IS that group shot from above at BMW Welt.

I will post my thoughts, photos and videos from Goodwood as soon as I can, but I was very happy to hear the M3/M4 in real life for the first time today, including the M performance exhaust too. They had no less than five different examples climbing the hill ALL day.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
