The car in real life look much better then internet pics.and really shows thats is 5er at first sight..like you are watching the f10 but with more sporty design and luxury.

The only "boring" thing on a G30 compared to F10 in my eyes is the hood. F10's hood looks more aggresive with more flame surfacing on it compared to G30:

Respectfully disagree. The F10 hood is WAY overdesigned. Too busy, too many lines. I think the G30 hood is far better looking, and a large part of that is indeed the hood shutline @Padi :D

Disagree, I find the G30 to be extremely sexy looking in pics. It photographs very well.

I have understood Alii8Asads post in that way that he like this real life pics more than the staged pics.

Presence.
Look at the rear wheel arches on how they fold out over the wheels instead of being completely flat.
A disadvantage is that the M5 does not get the extra width afforded to it like the Mercedes E63 AMG which has to compensate for the flatness of the standard E-Klasse.

The M5 never got that. Only the M3 in the past.

Yes but people are complaining that why does the M5 not get over enlarged wheel arches. It does not need them.
The M3 had to have them because the standard track of the 4er is wider than the 3er. Add the M4 and you understand why M4 Coupe does not had extra width either.

I don't think anyone is? The M5 never had them and the car has always been popular.

But the hips of the 2er coupe and 4er coupe are not the best. The have flared hips, no flared arches. I prefer a normal body with flared wheel arches. What BMW has always done basically, except for the current 2er and 4er.

What? You cannot hear the tears from other BMW sites about Wheel arch width? :ROFLMAO:

When seeing the rear in the release photos, I was not impressed and thought the rear lights were ungainly. In this photo, the rear lights actually look quite nice (unless I've gotten use to them by now).

However, it very difficult to distinguish this rear from the previous generation. I would have liked to see a bit of creativity and design progression.

But still nice.

One of the theme of the "F" generation cars was the slopes on the hood. I think it's fine, adds to the smoothness and coherence. Now when BMW is moving towards more angular designs, obviously you don't put smooth curves on the hood. BMW doesn't tend get these things wrong especially with their mainstream models.
