5 Series (F10) [Official] BMW 5 Series F10 Facelift

The BMW F10 is the sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series, manufactured for model years 2010–2017. Body styles: 4-door sedan/saloon (F10), 5-door estate/wagon (F11), 5-door fastback (F07), marketed as "Gran Turismo", and 4-door long wheelbase sedan (F18), sold only in China and the Middle East. Production: 2010–2017
The 5er sedan, while I still wish they added a bit more aggression to the front end, it's pretty much a perfectly timeless design. In fact some of the new detailing actually seems detrimental to the design. That said with the right trim and spec it can look endlessly elegant and sporty. Get it wrong though, and it will look frumpy and boring.

Now the 5GT is still one of my favourite cars of all time. The F10 was born to be great!

The GT - Naas, you claim your love for BMW stems from their sportiness. To call the 5GT a sporty car would be an oxymoron. It's a hippo. Stop confusing me.

Could a mod please edit the thread title in a way that the F07 (and F11) is included too, so that we can discuss it? Having a separate thread just for the f/l GT is pretty pointless.

Have you driven one? Sat in one? Much more sporty than my X6M could ever be. From the frameless windows on your way in, the seating/driving position and the drive of which feels 10x more BMW and more connected than my X6;)

I've sat in them several times and it didn't appeal to me in the slightest internally (apart from the roominess) or externally. That said I have not ever driven one and can only going by the numerous reviews I've read which has said it's anything but dynamic with questionable ride quality. But I certainly don't have your first hand experience.

BMW heard what you said. M5 GT will come before M7, and M3 GT before M4 CSL.

Interesting how BMW is adding chrome bits to the 5 series. I wonder if they're trying to make it have a more "luxury" look? Are they maybe going to have a luxury, spport etc line like the 3? Facelift is neither here nor there for me.

I agree in that the 5 has a nice design. Timeless, I don't know. To me it's looking old and the facelift doesn't do much to enhance it.

I like the new treatment between the headlights and the grill, but looks none of the M versions - M5, M sportspack or M550D gets that new treatment - which sucks.

I love this facelift. I was a big fan of the pre-fl 5 series, but the front of the car always left something to be desired. This FL has successfully cleaned up all the problems I had with the previous one. Overall look is much sharper, coronas look much more focused/powerful, and bumper rounds off the design nicely. BMW rearlight design is sublime at this point. The one on the 5er GT looks very imposing, and integrates the LEDs very nicely.

The F10 5-series is one of the most beautiful, cohesive designed BMW's of the last few decades. I credite BMW that the FL hasn't changed anything of it's beauty. Designwise, this 5-series represents BMW's Best in Design. Respect (y)

I disagree. M6 Coupe, and Gran Coupe are probably the best BMW designs. :)
