4 Series (F32) [Official] BMW 4-Series Coupe

The first generation of the BMW 4 Series consists of the F32 (coupé version), F33 (convertible version) and F36 (five-door liftback version, marketed as 'Gran Coupé') compact executive cars. The 4 Series was created when BMW spun off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the 3 Series into a separate series. Production: July 2013 – September 2020
Just_Me... the photo resolution is small. Any way you could post the fill-size version of your edit ? :)

Thanks Betty for the original, the car does look fantastic! I'm really liking that 3D/protruding grille. Adds depth and brings back the shark-nose look.

Small as thumbnail small? This is the direct link to 800 px wide photo. Copy link and paste in a new web window. Unfortuanly its the largest size I still have left.

Strange, it's still small (120x180). It's not a thumbnail that enlarges.

Not to worry though, the car still looks great in that summer haze hue. :)

Nice photo Betty. Were you allowed to sit inside the car and if so were there any changes compared to a 3er (other than the obvious ones like longer doors and different rear seats)?

I was allowed to sit in the car, and other than the new touchpad iDrive, it felt identical to the F30. Oh, it did feel as if I was significantly lower down in the car and closer to the road. I liked it.

The guy sat in the passenger seat didn't though. He was very "meh".

One other thing. The M135i they had on display downstairs had the new iDrive also, which I was surprised at. Didn't think it would come until the facelift.

Interesting, guess the new iDrive will be on all BMW cars this model year already then..

The iDrive Touch Controller comes with the Professional Navi from July 2013 in all BMWs. The Business Navi still featuers regular non-touch iDrive controller.

^WOW that looks amazing!

I wonder what that would cost you..

Looks very good indeed, in particular the interior. Can't wait to see the M3 and M4 now. Seems to be due for Detroit 2014, that's a long time to wait (why can't BMW release M cars as fast as AMGs !!!).

Wow! That's very impressive. @Just_me, do you have a source for the information that M-Performance packages will be available with LSD as an option? That would make for a very compelling alternative to the M3/M4...

Interior is just a step above the standard fodder. I look forward to the comparisons with the E400 Coupe with AMG kit.

YES!!!!!!! The LSD will be a clutch type unit and feature a 30% lockup. Only on the 4er right now, maybe other models in the future...
And you're looking forward to the E400 coupe getting slaughtered? Me too actually.

....or you wait for the M3.....

That's something completely else. And a different price class too.

Ha, Mr Naysayer - you edited your post. Just_me was quickest here to suss that LSD will become part of the M-Performance Pack options list. Here's a quote:

Performance Parts:

BMW will finally offer an optional limited slip differential (LSD) as part of the M Performance Parts catalog. The LSD will be a clutch type unit and feature a 30% lockup. LSD may be offered for other models eventually, depending on how well it sells for the 4 Series.

The M Performance LSD will join the other mechanical upgrades we have seen in the F30 3 Series Catalog - the M Performance Power Kit, exhaust system, brakes, suspension (10mm lowering), and a new style 20" M Performance wheels.
