4 Series (F32) [Official] BMW 4-Series Coupe

The first generation of the BMW 4 Series consists of the F32 (coupé version), F33 (convertible version) and F36 (five-door liftback version, marketed as 'Gran Coupé') compact executive cars. The 4 Series was created when BMW spun off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the 3 Series into a separate series. Production: July 2013 – September 2020
IMO side view is stunning. Roof line is really sleek and goes nice into back. Rear is nice, but I hate that tail lights got regular bulbs and because of that part of tail lights is in orange color. That is unacceptable IMO. With full LED tail lights rear would be very nice. Front is a weak point, because it is a copy / paste of 3 series. If it would keep Concep's front (with its headlights and LED graphic) it would be a stunning car.

Im not complaining about interior, because it was expected it will be same as interior that 3 Sedan got. BUT E90 and E92 got quite similar interior design as E60 5 series, but it feels better in E92 than in E60. Current 5 series got great interior and unfornately F30/F32 interior isn't based on F10 design, but is more similar to 1 series. That is a weak point.

BMW obviously think it's important.

So what? BMW also thinks "Twin Power Turbo" means a lot, but it's just another name - it doesn't translate into any particular technology.

Personally I don't fancy the "4 series" name, but I don't really care. It's just a name. We better judge the car for what it is, not what is it called.

Here are some images I put together that compare the F30 and F32 at the exact same angles in exact same colors.

Edit: I see that it isn't working. I am trying to fix it.
Edit 2: Fixed it.

...

i've assumed that it is a reference to the twin-scroll technology, not to say that it's still not marketing mumbo jumbo.

Am I the only one thinking 3 is more harmonious than 4? Especially the front and the back.

I'm pretty sure pictures don't do justice to 4 Series.

EDIT: The interior is way too similar. Big fail, IMO, it should be more differentiated. Just like 6 vs 5.
:(

Thanks for the terrific photo-comparos, bimmerjph. Oh, and pay no heed to member Levi68.

It's just how things are in his village. Population: 1

If someone honestly says they can't see these two cars look differently then they seriously need park up and not drive their car until they get an eye test. When I look at them both all I see is family resemblance and that is all and that's how it should be.

Front headlight should have been different, people have the right to be pissed off, befor whene it was called 3er coupe it was more differentiated globally from the sedan, now that they decided to call it 4er, the differenciation should have gone up and not down.

^Levi the stupid thing was that I was ever labelled an Audi fanboy because the list of cars and brands I've owned was proof positive that I wasn't, if anything it proved I was a car nut rather than brand lead.

BTW if I can be labelled as anything it would be someone who prefers AWD.;)

How very wrong you are. Whenever I carry passengers, by far the most trouble is encountered in the BMW's. Massively so. Putting the controls on the doors makes far more sense where you can see them. No doubt if BMW's were on the doors you'd say it made the most sense.
This man speaks the truth, hell even in my E39..which does not have electrical seats, its always a damn phd to tell the passenger how to adjust the seats, it so UN intuitive that its not even funny.

Everyone who does not own a BMW struggles with it..
