3 Series (G20) [Official] BMW 3 Series (G20)

The seventh generation of the BMW 3 Series range consists of the BMW G20 (sedan version) and BMW G21 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring') compact executive cars. The G20/G21 has been in production since mid-October 2018 with a facelift in July 2022 and is often collectively referred to as the G20.
No worries! It's perfect as is. You really are marvelous.

Thanks a mil for this - totally enlightening to see how closely evolved the G20 is from the F30, details aside. The differences in profile are so nuanced to the point that it's only the C-pillar kink that gives the identity away. As I suspected, the belt line of the G20 is in the region...

The fact that the distance from rear axle to the top of the front bulkhead is virtually identical says a lot to me, the car has swollen because it's had to... the increased mass at the front is surely an off-shoot of crash regs, whereas the passenger cell seems relatively unchanged.

So then do we still say it's an all new 3er? :D

They have forgotten the key important element.
But this talk of a G81 M3 Touring is exciting and actually conforms to what they were saying at the VIP event in Paris. That there are opportunities to investigate other areas where M are not present. I took it to be something like a 4er Gran Coupe but I hope they are actually meaning this. Add an M5 Touring and I will run around the streets of Garching....naked.

Well, if the folks at M read this post, you just ruined any chance of an M5 Touring coming to fruition. That's on you, bud. :D

If they are going to do Competition of the X5M and X6M, then they should have at it and do Touring versions of the M3 and M5. I'd argue the latter makes more sense than the doing Competition versions for the X's.

If they do an M5 Touring Competition then I will climb the top of the four cylinder...King Kong style...naked.:ROFLMAO:

The hofmeister kink doesn't go up in the rendering. However, I think I prefer the traditional kink like the rendering shows. We shall see.

Lovely car but I still maintain that the triangle/T shaped trims on the bumpers is as big of a mistake as Mercedes double fog lights a few years ago.

The G20 facelift is likely to perfect the bumper designs for the non M-Sport models.

It's the only one design point I don't like.

It's the way the bumper has that concave element which is honed aerodynamically having that trim piece is subtle but effective. Many are saying that the front end of the car is quite bland?
But it's true intention the way how the sculpture actually brings something new to BMW. can only be seen in person because in photographs it looks flat.
