3 Series (F30) [Official] BMW 3-Series (F30)

The BMW F30 is the sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series range. Body styles: F30 (sedan), F31 (wagon/,touring), F34 (fastback/gran turismo), and F35 (long-wheelbase). For this generation, coupé/convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series. Predecessor: BMW E90. Successors: G20 3 Series, and G26 4 Series Gran Coupé (F34). Production: 2011–2018.
I absolutely love it. Looks elegant without being boring, unlike the 5, yet incredibly sophisticated and aggressive. It's interesting to see a BMW interior in a single-tone, I like it.

The Good:

-Headlights are awesome, especially from the 3/4 view.
-The M pack is really great, along with the steering wheel.
-Interior in general looks much better.

The Bad:

-I was hoping for a more interesting rear.

And it looks great live!

M-Sport is a must IMO.

From this view the exterior is really really good.

....but the best part of the car is the interior. Simply flawless

So there you go.... like? yes?

I did say it will be an event.
Yes the designer responsible for the 5er GT is the designer of the 3er and 3er GT.

Sadly I could not attend.

I'm so happy that BMW manage to control the weight of the new 1-series and 3-series. Kudos to BMW.

Me too, I like this more than anything else pretty much, including design.....although the 1er design is an epic failure of course. It's almost like the 1er and 3er aren't made by the same company!

What? You too don't like a 335i?!?!?!
You guys are weird ;)

Focus on the badge, and not the bulb light from 1995.

BTW, this appears to be a trend: E46 bulb ---> E46 FL coupe LED. E90 bulb ---> E90 FL LED. F30 bulb ---> F30 FL LED. Count on it. It's cost cutting after extreme investments for an all new model, and it is for keeping something fresh for the FL

Good to hear weight has been at the forefront of the designers thought because it won't only benefit the mileage but the acceleration, handling and ride too. Great work guys, you all deserve a beer now.

Exterior I love, interior I'm not so sure about because in some shots I like and other I don't, looks a bit disconnected but I reckon will look great once I get to see it for myself.

Look forward to some reviews to see if the bar has been rised once more.

What is up with the black mirrors? I know that the 1 series, for some of the models, has it but why the 3er?

C-Class? A4? Game, set, match.

This is amazing. I see no immediate resemblance of the 5er (front is COMPLETELY different, rear is distinctively 3er), but looking deeper, I see some similar traits, which is exactly how design language should work. Looking at Tumbo's post, I actually see exactly how each BMW is completely different. To me, every rear is a different design, and they're all pretty much brilliant. The front of the BMW's of today are leaner and more subdued- just how I like them.

The front on this is probably the most modern thing in the market right now. It's lean, powerful, and reminds me of the Z4- which is quite an achievement, since its difficult to have roadster-like design cues on a sedan. The interior, which I thought would resemble the 1er, evokes more of a combination of the 6er and 5er. From what I see, the quality of the dash will be higher than the A4/C.

After seeing and reading carefully.......... oh boy! , i am glad we have Mercedes.

I forgot about the unveiling...
It wasn't exactly a love from the first sight... until I saw the M pack interior and mostly the steering wheel :icondrool
IMO the best interior in the world! It's coming straight from my dreams and I should admit I don't want anything different than that. I don't care about the rear door panels or whatever people were talking about, I don't even care to see pictures of it.
I have mixed fillings about the front, it definitely is the most revolutionary one I've seen in a long time but it's not what I've expected it to be. Same case with the e90 - back in 2005 I was it's biggest hater but now it's my favorite sedan of all times. I already LOVE the front and again I hate it when I look at the press pictures. After I see the car in real I'll probably fall in love immediately. The rear is great but too bland for my taste even with the M-pack. The side profile is mind blowing! And again the M-interior... WOW
The M Line and Modern Line interiors look like concepts and it's really hard for me to believe they are coming to production...
The Modern interior is the second best interior in the world IMO... So different but perfect in it's own distinctive way. Inspired by my favorite interior until today - the one of the 6er Coupe Concept... the light colored steering wheel and mostly the feel of Tomorrow's luxury it gives you.
Exterior wise the Sport line and the M-pack are fighting for first place. I can see people buying their cars with Sport line mostly.
20" optional wheels... BMW stop now or I'm gonna bankrupt very soon!
The key-cards... I adore them !!!!
NOW, don't tell me that the F30 335i is 100kg. lighter than the e90... I'll commit a wallet suicide!

PS: Am I gonna buy the new 3 series ? Of course YES !!!! The problem is that I'm buying an M3 and 4er GC too... just imagine how they gonna look judging by the comparison between the e90 and the e92/93

So here it is..
What can i say..overall its nice.. conservative but nice..
It will sell alot as usual.
The front is agressive, but i do not like the part where the headlights meet the grill..looks like u have shit in the corner of your eye.
The rear is nice, but its not as tight as i expected it to be from the spy shots, its more gentle and elegant.. ( 5er is so much more dynamic and phat)
Interior is standard issue BMW, not to my taste..looks tight ( i guess its that sporty feeling) and not to much above what allready is on the market.

All in all i say this is a very nice evolution of the 3er.. what im excited about is the coupe now..cause the design has some serious potential ( ohh and the M3 off this will be a bitchin car)

PS
The M package makes all the difference in the world..

That back looks so much like a 5 series. There is no way people can not confuse that car if they look at it very quickly. Of course, after further inspection you can tell it is not a 5 series, but it takes some time.
