Played a little with the configurator (which tells much about my appreciation of the car...) and unless I missed something, alu not (yet ?) offered, saw only wood.

I'm really enamored with this new GT, but I still have bad taste from the reliability issues and dealership experience I had with an early version of the last Continental when it was newly introduced.

Granted Bentley has improved immensely in both departments over the past 13 years, ever since I've been hesitant to go for the first model year of any car.

Design-wise: the original Contiental is Bentley's 996, the 2011 facelift.. 997, and the new continental is their 991.

There was a preview video of the CGT in which it had a huge panoramic roof, wonder why it's not an option in the configurator.

What do you think of this combination?

This is real quantum leap compared to the older one, i also love the interior despite the flagrant Panamera affiliation. My only grief is that the heap work a bit less than on the concept, they are now longer and point too much downwards.

Aren't more natural competitors for this car, the S class coupé and Ghost coupé?

You've got a good point, but DB11 and CGT have almost the same interior and exterior dimensions, power output, and are priced the same (judging by the outgoing CGT).

The Wraith is considerably larger and more expensive. And only the overpriced S65 coupé compares in price to the DB11/CGT. Some will say a MB doesn't have the same exclusivity.

Edit: A fully loaded S63 comes close to the MSRP of a CGT V8.

My first configuration was almost exactly like Busty's, but I went the whole hog, and decided on something more quintisentially British.

Well, this how'd I'd like to spec it if I were to get one.
