TT Official: Audi TT-RS

Finally - the German price-list > Audi TT RS

It contains no surprises. The rear spoiler is standard but you can also choose a retractable one (without extra fee). The pricing is the same as stated before:

Audi TT RS Coupé > EUR 55.800
Audi TT RS Cabrio > EUR 58.650

:D

The TT RS is kinda hot and I love it's resemblance to the S2 I drove in the mid-90s :eusa_clap! But I think that I'll stay with my Croc. An used 997 GT3 (with low mileage) could be an interesting future option for me.

Tasty like a cheery. But the alu lip, diffuer and large spoiler makes the car look waaay faster than what it really is.

You kiddin me? This car goes to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds. That is just as fast as any sportscar out there. It IS just as fast as it looks. And it's beautiful!

For some reason I forget about this car!! Just checked the Audi configurator yesterday and "found" it again!! Looks fabulous!! Really like this little fast roadster!!!

A swedish guy involved with the TT-RS project got the question how fast around N-ring. He wasn't 100% certain but he think the best time Audi did was 8.04 min.

I have in front of me three different reviews of the TT-RS (from Swedish AMS, Swedish Automobil and EVO (will post summaries)). Very, very mixed reception... but they all agree it is a great car.

More Details on U.S.-Spec 2012 Audi TT RS: 360 HP (Maybe), Priced Around $60K

Last fall, after an outcry from enthusiasts, Audi confirmed it would bring its top-spec TT coupe to the U.S. But so far, we’ve heard little about what content our version of the TT RS will have. We cornered an Audi spokesperson at the 2011 Chicago auto show, where the TT RS made its quiet U.S. debut, and forced them to cough up some details. (Okay, it was a little easier than that.)
The European version that we sampled almost two years ago made 340 hp from its turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. Much to our surprise and thrill, Audi says it’s pushing for U.S. cars to make about 20 more ponies for a total of around 360 hp. We asked where the extra power is coming from and were told it’s mainly from ECU tuning, so presumably the Euro cars could be updated as well. Our RS will also come equipped only with a six-speed manual transmission, and little else is changed from the overseas edition. We won’t, however, be getting the available Recaro seats. No big surprise there.

Only a few options will be offered on the limited run of less than 1000 cars. As of now, an exterior package featuring silver accents on the lower front and rear valance (matching the mirror caps) is planned, as is a Titanium pack bundling a blacked-out grille and trim with titanium-colored wheels, much like what is currently available on the A4, A5, S4, and S5. A sport exhaust option will provide a rowdier note from that already sweet sounding five. Those not in favor of the RS’s rear spoiler can opt for a factory delete.

The TT RS coupe will arrive by the end of this summer as a 2012 model. Like many of these details, pricing is yet to be finalized, but expect to pay a base price “in the low-$60K range,” that is if you can get your hands on one.

Starts at $56,850
Audi has announced the 2012 TT-RS will be priced from $56,850 when it arrives in United States later this summer.

Costly roughly $10,000 more than the TT-S, the high-performance RS features a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the 3,306 lb (1,500 kg) coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

Other highlights include an aggressive body kit, a fixed rear wing, a dual exhaust system and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's brushed aluminum trim, sport seats and RS-branded door sills.

I seen a couple 1M's at the BMW dealership, both were priced at 57 grand. The M3's were priced north of 70 grand.

I am comparing MSRP to MSRP. You are comparing sticker price to MSRP.

Everything BMW charges as add on's for the 1M is mostly standard on the TTRS. Thats why the price jumps up so much.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
