TT Official: Audi TT-RS

I wonder whether we will see this engine in an RS3. Audi use the same engine in the TT-S and S3 so it should be easy to drop this TT-RS engine into an RS3.

The question is: Do they really need as RS3? For what, really?

Say what? The S3 has won several tests agaisnt this car and is it's competitor.

you probably think of 130i with 265 hp just like the S3? 135i has twinturbo with 306hp and in acceleration 135i is quicker.
RS of the A3 arent exactly a competitior to the 135i. RS version compete with M/AMG versions so I dont understand why we mention 135i in this thread. 135i doesnt even have a LSD so against a RS3 version 135i is lost.

In terms of sheer power and grunt the S3 falls short of 135i,so i'd say yeah bring the RS3:D

Isn't the M or the sport package include LSD? i mean u can get the M tuned suspension, steering, brakes, seats but not sure about LSD but i think it might be available with some package?:t-hands:

Oh c'mon.
Yeah right, as if 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds wouldn't be enough.

Plus, hockenheim times:
BMW 135i - 1.17,4 min
Audi S3 -1.17,5 min

Let's skip the nonscense talk now.

No it doesnt and it sucks BIG TIME!!! :t-banghea

135I have a simple e-diff in standard version but it cant be compared with a mechanical diff like the M3 is using.
Cayman is now offered with LSD which Porsche didnt offer before because they didnt want to compete with the 911. One day I hope BMW will do the same for their non M models.

Nordschleife
Audi TT-S -----------------8.29 min
Mercedes SLK 55 -------------- 8.24 min

Wow...a huge 5 secodns om over 8 minute course... What a big margin *irony*

The TT-S is for sure the drivers car, and the Benz has more power. The Benz is gonna be a cake for the TT-RS.

340 PS
450 NM
0-100 kph: 4.5s

Best regards, south

Just as I expected :)

And as we all know, Audi are very generous with their latest numbers (4.6 for the R8 4.2 became 4.1-4.5 in all the tests, and 4.5 for RS6 Sedan which became (4.1-4.3) in all the tests), so, I expect 4.3-4.5 for the TT-RS!

All German makers are like that.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
