Yupp.. The D2 and D3 generations of A8 have more distinctive aesthetics inside and out.The worst looking A8 ever.

Looks great.
I loved the first gen A8 especially after Audi said it was exactly the same as the ASF show car. But that car is a shadow compared to this 2nd Gen D3 2006-2009 S8 V10 which still is a pretty stealth luxury saloon.I was massively impressed by the series I ASF concept derived A8 (The "Ronin" A/S8). It made quite the statement that Audi had "finally arrived" in the premium luxury segment. Gorgeous automobile inside and out. And not an Audi 100 derivative unlike its' C2 (200E/200Turbo) and C3 (Audi V8) based predecessors.

Not bad from this angle honestly, but this is not a normal angle basically,no one would look at a car from crawling all over on the floor. It certainly can depending on configuration.:

From the base of the A-pillars back, I personally find it stellar in general.

Perhaps quite contrary to the rest of the world, D5 A/S8s' are not that uncommon here in northwestern Germany. Actually, I seem to see them more often than W/V222 M-Bs' or G11/12 BMWs'. Hence, I regularly spot them in traffic or parked. I like them from all rear 3/4 views. It's the front that turns me off.
While it does look like a Duracell battery in that particular scheme, two-tone works well enough on the 7er as it does a decent enough job in hiding the visual mass. That two-tone paint scheme is wrong and I will accept no debate on the issue.
That’s your problem then. All limos should be two tone, that’s how god intended itThat two-tone paint scheme is wrong and I will accept no debate on the issue.
