Yupp.. The D2 and D3 generations of A8 have more distinctive aesthetics inside and out.

I was massively impressed by the series I ASF concept derived A8 (The "Ronin" A/S8). It made quite the statement that Audi had "finally arrived" in the premium luxury segment. Gorgeous automobile inside and out. And not an Audi 100 derivative unlike its' C2 (200E/200Turbo) and C3 (Audi V8) based predecessors.

From the base of the A-pillars back, I personally find it stellar in general.

I was massively impressed by the series I ASF concept derived A8 (The "Ronin" A/S8). It made quite the statement that Audi had "finally arrived" in the premium luxury segment. Gorgeous automobile inside and out. And not an Audi 100 derivative unlike its' C2 (200E/200Turbo) and C3 (Audi V8) based predecessors.

I loved the first gen A8 especially after Audi said it was exactly the same as the ASF show car. But that car is a shadow compared to this 2nd Gen D3 2006-2009 S8 V10 which still is a pretty stealth luxury saloon.

Not bad from this angle honestly,but this is not a normal angle basically,no one would look at a car from crawling all over on the floor.

Perhaps quite contrary to the rest of the world, D5 A/S8s' are not that uncommon here in northwestern Germany. Actually, I seem to see them more often than W/V222 M-Bs' or G11/12 BMWs'. Hence, I regularly spot them in traffic or parked. I like them from all rear 3/4 views. It's the front that turns me off.

They're also pretty common in Russia. You see about as many as you do S class and far more than the 7'er.

While it does look like a Duracell battery in that particular scheme, two-tone works well enough on the 7er as it does a decent enough job in hiding the visual mass.

That’s your problem then. All limos should be two tone, that’s how god intended it

The two tone with black upper on the 7-er looks alright, the Oxide grey upper options look terrible, in my humble opinion.

I could never really get into two-tone paint configurations on modern cars in general. That two-tone option offered on the G70 7er is a bit of a throwback to those Karl Lagerfeld edition E32 and E38 7ers.
